Are any of those names pacers? I count 13 for both the men and women, which will be pretty crowded, especially if the go out slowly.

NCAA will not accept a 2 mile time from Millrose as a qualifier for the indoor 3k.

Dave Monte Elite athlete co-ord of NYRR, who sponsors the event, picks the athletes. I assume Flynn has some say but if NYRR is signing the appearance/finishing place reward checks they control the list.

If any better guys wanted in and were willing to take what $ was offered the would be in.

Race with-in a race the pros going for the indoor best and the cap and gowners chasing Batty's record and himself it seems.

With USAT&F CEO's comment-spending $750,000 for a meet just to have a meet is not happening anymore- might be the death stroke for track at MSG.

Not bad but a 3000/5000 guy it looks. However, when he ran his mile pr it appears that 2nd place ran 4:21 and last 4:47 so that is an impressive solo performance.

Maybe in a loaded race he'll run much faster. Nonetheless its probably NYRR throwing a bone to a local college.
