Absolutely insane. Totally bogus.

According to Victor Conte of Balco fame, Bolt, Oregon Project and other Jamaican sprinters are highly suspicious for PEDs.

Victor no longer has nothing to lose or gain by making accusations. He seems to be interested in revealing the truth regarding doping athletes.

WEJO, Can we get a list of ALL professional athletes in the US using thyroid medication..
would look like this:
Athlete's Name:
When Thyroid problem was diagnosed, Date:
How did the athlete notice he or she needed thyroid meds? coach? doctor suggested?
When did treatment start, Date:
What are the dosage the athlete uses:
List of PRs in chronological order:
In addition, you can add some background info by checking in with a sports scientist on how thyroid can help you as a runner.
This would be a good project for one of your employees.
A Duck comes off like the people who defended Lance and Joe Paterno. Youre too personally invested to be objective and you attack those who post things you don't like.
Brilliant Idea!

I'm not sure that a healthy person taking JUST thyroid medication would increase performance. Not sure where this idea comes from either.
I have read some things about the possibility that maybe t4 in addition to other drugs could have increased effects. but this idea that people with normal thyroid levels taking extra t4 gives them some kind of "boost" - what have people read that makes them assume this would make someone faster?
For what it is worth, Magness has openly defended Salazar's athletes with regards to the thyroid medication (I believe before and after his dismissal) on this site and others.
I believe that Areson was on thyroid medicine before she went to run for Alberto.
How great would it be if Magness athletes one day come out that they are using PEDs
The thing is, we don't know. Who would have thought that Provigil would be a performance enhancer, but Kelli White was on it.
Probably the thyroid medication, by itself, is not a performance enhancer, but perhaps it's either a masking agent, or a counter agent against the deadly effects of something else they're taking.
And random thought: Didn't Margaret Groos have thyroid problems?
They're fat loss agents. Bodybuilders and athletes have been using them forever to reduce body fat.
While taking Thyroids you can still lose body without the same level of calorie restriction than you normally could.
It's used in conjunction with beta agonists (all your fake exercise induced asthma medications) and HGH to shed body fat without the side effects of taking clenbuterol.
Imagine the leanest and lightest you ever were as an athlete. Now imagine being 5-10lbs lighter without reducing food intake.
A 133lbs Rupp is a lot faster than a 139lbs Rupp.
Thyroid medication is only beneficial in optimizing normal levels in humans. Exceeding these levels is counterproductive as hyperthyroidism is no better than hypothyroidism. Topping up someone's levels could certainly been seen as a "grey area" but to group it with PED's is ridiculous.
I have a physiology degree and am pretty well read on endocrinology. I read over a review paper on thyroid hormone about a year and half ago in the journal "Physiological Reviews." There were several effects of the hormone not usually mentioned that would have performance enhancing effects. Of course most people know that thyroid hormone increases metabolic rate (which would decrease percent body fat and reduce recovery time), but it also increases cardiac output, VO2 max, and increases sensitivity to epinephrine (adrenaline). Thyroid hormone also has synergistic effects with growth hormone, perhaps making growth hormone (natural or unnatural in origin) more effective. Taking a lot would not be advantageous as it would cause a lot of undesired side effects, but optimizing levels would certainly improve performance.

Yes you pee facing them. Yes it is a huge invasion of privacy but it has to be done this way.
It is so you don't stash fake urine in a bag.
I have the whizzinator in winter and summer colors. Works for me and even gives me a few more flaccid inches!
http://www.thewhizzinator.com/If one were to start taking thyroid medication while not really needing to, is the potential there to develop a dependence on that medication to maintain appropriate levels?
Are these athletes that are taking thyroid medication going to have to continue to do so for the rest of their lives?
If they really are using it mostly for a performance effect, are they jeopardizing their long term natural states by doing so?
absolutely.

Let's see, Victor was a liar and a criminal. He got caught. Lied. Was proven a liar. Busted. Etc.
Lost everything.
Since then, the Bay Area press has characterized him as a notorious attention seeker... Google and read some articles in the last year.
He has offices where he has taken pictures from the web and printed them out, and framed them to make it seem like he has these pictures given to him from these famous names.
He is desperate for attention, to be hired as an expert, he's asked to be hired a by USADA and WADA.
He's tying to make a living still, as a supplier of supplements for athletes -- the touts himself now as "doing it clean."
There is no whore like a desperate reformed whore.
Note: There are people who are nobodies, who try and find ways to associate with somebodies.
Victor Conte is the classic example of a attention seeking sociopath.
He's a pathetic figure.
I won't do your googling for you, but you can easily find an article in the past year or so where he tries "selling" his new business to a reporter.
Victor Conte is about as genuine as a comb over.
He, as the record shows, lied to many athletes about what other athletes he was working with. Classic narcissist, sociopath, lowlife.
You couldn't trust him then, you can't trust him now.
And you're a light wit to think you can now.
Oh, in addition to his crimes before he was busted, he then leaked grand jury testimony to the press.
The guy has no believability left.
Freaking get educated and know the whole story and stop floating slanderous crap.

Totally idiotic analogy.
I am attacking posts that are pure bad faith slanderous speculation.
Lance "won" 7 TdF's in a row.
Rupp has had a steady progression and a 12 year journey to his success.
What pisses me off, is this web sites lack of morals.
If - and you know what I am talking about - The Johnson's mother was referred to as a whore on this site daily for the better part of a decade...they wouldn't drag their feet at deleting those posts and threads.
A duck and anyone else at this point defending NOP has either their head in the sand (or up their ass) or is a Nike troll to not see clearly that Magness and others words and actions clearly show a parallel to Lance in his evil prime. Is it any coincidence that Lance begins a CLOSE relationship at Nike with Alberto just before Rupp and Mo explode. Alberto using exact same justification with all the thyroid meds and epo and such as Lance did in saying everyone else was doing it so I had no choice.
TUE's MUST be made available to public if sport is even remotely serious about being run clean. Hiding info only aides the criminal element.
Nike has too much power in the sport and despite athletes with full awareness of operation leaving they know they can't risk speaking out. BUT I do believe in a short time (2-4 years) NOP and other Nike doping operations are going to come to light. I say this knowing some inside info and just knowing what generally is the pattern of these deals going back 20 years. Eventually all operations go down like Bolt's group in Jamaica will and like East Germans, Chinese, Balco, etc.
