The weather sucks in Frisco. Manhattan Beach is the place to be.

But how many T&F Gold Medalists are from the SF Bay Area? It is no LA.
How much do you make?
Better than being in Des Moines and gettin' worked over by the barnyard bull and sheep.[/quote]
me and the bull dislike your tone. now get over here.
$700k here would get you a 6,000 square foot 1920s english style mansion on the nicest street in town. 3/4 acre, 6 bedroom, 5 bath, slate roof, etc.
Yeah but there's no US Navy Fleet Week in Indy.
We do have a memorial to the USS Indianapolis, if that counts.
Interesting how much different real estate is in different areas. Last year I bought a 1970s 3600sq ft. house with basement, main floor and an upstairs that was fully renovated for $150,000. I am in a small Midwest town though, good for me, but would probably drive a lot of people crazy. :)

This one is actually true, I live in a town right outside of a city that was hit very hard by a tornado a couple years ago.

Might have something to do with SF being one of the most kick arse cities in the world. A bit more fun than Omaha.
You people are moronic idiots for paying that much to live in that craphole. I'll take the mw anytime.

yeah, lots of serial killers, tornadoes, promiscuous farm animals, republicans, guns, and republicans with guns (duh).... yeah, what's not to like?!
(though I do agree that paying what the OP paid to live where he is living, is well, a little insane)

Manhattan Beach makes SF look cheap (unless you're east of Sepulveda, but that's not really Manhattan Beach is it?) Agreed thet MB has better weather, but it's still a fairly homogeneous and dull place compared to SF. And the traffic getting to anywhere is pretty awful.

A big part of the reason that the West Coast is so expensive is that people like you can't afford to live here. Think of it as a Country Club with an incredible coast, beautiful mountains, sophisticated cities with some of the best music and food in the world and the smartest, best looking people. I can afford to buy in, you can't Farm Boy. But thanks for producing food for us!
Many people that live in other areas of the U.S. can afford to live on the west coast, but we choose not to. We much prefer to stay in our less ethnically diverse areas of the U.S. with our other white gun-wielding conservative friends.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
