Very nice house. You'll enjoy it.
I agree with infanticide on the 2006.
The brothers are making Le Vieux to be a laydown for a decade or more kind of wine.
Very drinkable now but it holds a wonderful future.
I've never had the 06 but at the '01-'03-'05 verticle my old partner did almost everyone thought those vintages could cellar 12 to 15 years from bottling before being truely mature.
Woxl could you give us your thoughts on this bottle?
thanks
FYI this is a wine that would be on a restaurant list in the 100-125$US range and winegeeks would think it fair pricing..
So I had a 7&7. It was disgusting. Then I went upstairs and fell asleep next to my wife who hates me more and more as each day passes. I woke back up around 11:00, got in an argument with said wife, watched some TV show with an emotionally dead Carson Daly and then went outside to shoot of fireworks at 12:00. Saw my neighbor (who has a severe personality disorder) as he was coming back from shopping at Wal-Mart. He told me a story about how he shot off a mortar round 2 years ago and blew out one of his eardrums with it. We stood around awkwardly, in silence, until he pulled out his groceries and retreated into his basement. I was literally on the brink of tears at that point. I went inside and read The Corrections until about 2:00. It didn't help at all.
I think I'll try a beer or something next year.
I'm sorry.
