Let's hear 'em.
Five points for predicting the gold, two points for predicting the silver, one for predicting the bronze. Bonus points for predicting who drops out, and for the places of American competitors.

Dan Browne will be the 1st U.S. finisher while the other 2 will disappoint/choke.
Isn't that the way it usually works?
Culp will be our top finisher.
OK, just because this is a hard game...
For predicting the 1-2-3 finishers, just name three (don't have to specify finishing order), and you can still get the points as above. For the gold, if you say "Xxxx Xxxx" will WIN, and Xxxx Xxxx DOES WIN, three bonus points.
Top three: Tergat, Korir, Wainaina
Winner: Tergat
Top american: Keflezighi
Dropout: Culpepper, Gezahegne
Tergat will win, an Ethiopian in 2nd, bronze will be someone I've never heard of.
Culp will be the top American, browne will run 2:25+, Meb will drop out and collect a huge paycheck a week later at some road race.
Benoit Z will win.
Lance Armstrong
I have a feeling that Mr. Baldini will have something to say about who will be in the top three.
Jon Brown and Baldini in the top 3... Tegat and Abera to dissapoint, no Americans finish...
1. African
2. African
3. African
Top American either Meb, Culpepper, or Browne.
Drop outs: lots.
Where do I pickup my winnings?
1. Paul Tergat
2. Abera
3. Vanderlei Cordeiro (Brasil)
4. Ramaala
5. Baldini
6. Culpeper
Meb will drop out.
1. Tergat
2. Baldini
3. El Mouaziz
Women
1. Paula
2. Ndereba
3. Japanese runner
I'm going out on a limb with these predictions, but here goes:
1. The race will be 26.2 miles
2. The winner will be a man in the mens race and a woman in the womens race.
3. They will both have two arms and two legs.
4. They will both wear shoes
5. The mens winner will not be named Loretta.
6. Both the winners will not be people who have been in my kitchen.
7. There will be at least one post ripping on the American performace.
8. There will be at least one post praising the American performance.
9. Someone will mention the name Jason Rexing.
10. The announcer will suggest at least once during the mens race that the viewers go out to their local track and run a lap as fast as they can.
11. If Meb is the first American some poster will point out that he is not a "real" American.
12. The winner won't be yo' mama.
One of those might actually be wrong. What if the women's winner wears briefs?
1 african and 1 japanese man who are not thought of as favorites, and either Tergat, Avera, El Mouaziz, or Baldini.
for the women, I pick Paula, Katherine, and a japanses woman.
I'll take excellent odds on the 26.2 mile, they won't run that distance and I'll take good odds on Wainaina no getting top3.
If Drossin places top 15 she will have had a very good day.
I predict Colleen will be the first American woman to finish.
EPO and Blood agent testing will rule out the Italian (Baldini)and El Mouaziz (Morrocco) or will it. Since those two countries have never once out of competition tested a single athlete, maybe they will be thier despite Dick's Pounds! Paula will have to contend with the Dutch Lorna and American Kastor too. The testing should keep the Russian and Morroccan women out of the race.
Guess Again
I'll also take excellent odds on Drossin not finishing in the top40, but Kastor will.
I think Kastor is a dumb name.
