Well done. I for one am impressed.
Well done. I for one am impressed.
Amazing.
Faith in the Letsrun "World Famous Message Boards" once again restored.
PS 11:42 2-mile = only 5:51 pace but I am still impressed by that kind of time at the end of a day like this.
Nice job, Ian. Now go get some well deserved sleep.
Wait, never mind, I just realized it's a 2.09 mile loop. Wow, very impressed. I'm failing with the reading thing today.

I had these shoes on for 24 hours now without taking them off. Never even had to re-tie them. Same socks. I was scared that if I took them off that I wouldn't put them back on. I also had the same pair of shorts on the whole time. I didn't take a shower because I probably would have lied down afterwards and not got back up.
You are an inspiration. I hope you frame those socks.
You are a letsrun legend. Sleep well.
Congrats and great job! I know it wasn't easy, especially as it got colder tonight.
You've ended 2012 on a high note and shared the effort/experience with others. Very cool!
Well done Ian! So what are you going to do for an encore? Besides sleep?

CONGRATS!!! 48 miles. One day. That is excellent!
real runners are testing the true limits. Nice warm up though...
http://www.aravaiparunning.com/ultracast-advanced/Congrats man, that's an amazing accomplishment. This is what Letsrun is all about. You are a true inspiration to us all!!
Awesome and inspirational! Way to run, Ian.
This inspires me to do more.
Wait, it's only the 30th!
Shouldn't this be done on the last day of the year!?
You are my hero Ian. You did something totally meaningless and ridiculous for a challange. I also know before the internet and message boards like this you would likely not have even thought about this attempt. Nonetheless I am impressed.

I agree. I was so disgusted with the fake elite marathon in Central Park thread after the NYC Marathon was cancelled; I didn't think I'd ever be able to take this web site seriously ever again.
But this has been amazing. Congratulations Ian; as someone already pointed out, you are a true Let's Run legend!

My dad didn't know what I was doing until about 2pm. He got mad at me for going in and out the door all night. The two Rottweilers at the corner of 51st street and St Francis Ave barked at me the first few times they saw me, but after that they just stared in respect.
THIS is the leader quote for tomorrow's front page.
Would be quite the kicker if this was all bs. But I'm sure it's true. Very entertaining and my hat is off to you Ian. Funny to see how jacked up some people are about this. Curious question, would anyone have been much more or less impressed if this had been a 1 mile or 3 mile run every hour? Something to think about.
Great job, Ian. Enjoy your well earned rest !
