Did anyone pick the Butler guy to place in the top 10?

Didn't bother picking him in my top ten. This is the guy that Butler brought in for one year of eligibility. Must be nice to have 23 year old runners show up for one year and make your team look like they belong in the NCAA meet.
Looks like a certain ND fan is a little jealous of Butler, the best team in Indiana. Go f*ck yourself and f*ck touchdown jesus while you're at it
Jealous. My word dude! I am not even from Notre Dame. ND Fan make you think I was from Notre Dame. Chill out a bit. By the way, Butler can only compete with Notre Dame because they cheat and bring in foreign athletes that are on campus to run, and in this case, for just one year. Notre Dame and most ohter reputable programs are doing it with real college students--domestic or foreign--that actually stay on campus for four or five years. And please, don't go into Tucker's Master Degree program, we have all heard that before. The bottom line is...he was here to run and without him...Butler wouldn't be squat!
Just like to inform you that the rest of Butler's team are there for 2+ years and they would be something without Mark Tucker!
They were helped greatly by his performance this year true, but have had Fedmowski and Vernon injured throughout the season who were both capable of top 50 finishes.
One day butler might get the respect they deserve!
So, did Arkansas "cheat" when Godfrey and others came in from JUCO to help them winn NCAA's?? Most JUCO runners move to Div. 1 for two years. How is this different than what Butler does with their Australian/UK guys?? They go to school for a couple of years in their home country and then Franklin gets them here and they run well for him. I am not a big fan of importing talent but, when you don't have the draw power to bring in the talent that Stanford and Colorado do, you have to do what you can in order to compete nationally. Unless you know firsthand how or why Butler's runners are there, you should keep you mouth shut.

Really a poor argument. Dude, everyone knows Arkansas cheats! Academic institutions are not able to get juco kids in. When is the last time you heard of a juco transfer at Michigan, Stanford, Colorado. Of course the rule doesn't pertain to football and basektball...everybody cheats there.
This seems to be a very popular subject lately. I agree that it is ridiculous to get in a 23 or 24 year old foreigner to compete for one year. Eastern Michigan is good at this. Not only do they get in overaged foreigners but they also get in dumbass 18 year old foreigners and keep them around for (6 or 7 years). Many of these guys are not earning degrees or earning them in geography and basket weaving. This totally voids any accomplishments that these teams earn. That is why teams like Butler and Eastern Michigan University will never get the respect that a team of their calibur should.
Amen!
If everyone knows they cheat, why are they allowed to run these guys? All schools have a compliance officer to make sure they are obeying the rules. Now, some schools have higher academic standards than others so a person who can hardly speak English may not be able to get in to their school, but others i.e. Arkansas, may not be as tough to get into. If I heard correctly, Boaz was going to go to Butler but they couldn't him in so he was pointed towards some other schools. I think people are too quick to jump at saying that schools "cheat" or someone is 29 years old.
ND Fan you are a little bitch, how can you say Butler would not be squat, they have had 4 All-Americans in the last 5 years, not bad for a school with 3,500 students and 6 scholarships
Fraser Thompson, Rhodes Scholar
Listen here, the Irish are as clean as Bob Davie's wet whistle. And we never lower our academic standards. Never...for at least students.
Gorgeous George
Butler wouldn't be squat. They have had a few exceptions, but many of their top runners as of late have been older foreign athletes. Mwangai (Sp?) ring a bell? Yes, the schools that do cheat do get caught sometimes. Do you not remember Dirk Heinz at Arkansas?
i saw that butler guy run indoors at the Canon IV and he was just another stud like the stanford guys. so if the stanford guys are top 10 guys then he is realistically as well. had i done the contest i probably would've included him.
