How do you explain transferring?
1) needs release from Athl Department (unlikely )
2) what schools have much scholarship remaining (out of state tuition is very high at most institutions)
3) in most cases, when transferring, credits are lost; Progress Towards Degree is delayed thus ineligible
So... is transferring really an option? (It's NOT that simple)
In case you missed it. They (Spencer and Akinosun) got their releases with both immediately eligible at Texas. Yes, Texas had scholarship money available late. As to how many credits they might(?) have lost, IF ANY, I guess they felt like it was an acceptable loss of hours. Yes, transferring in this case was obviously an option. I don't know how simple it was but it happened.
Who is in the running for the Niagara University position?
Any word on Illinois distance or multis coaches?
A female.
let's talk about Niagara University. It would be an interesting position. Women's track is beginning this year. Would be very great opportunity to start a program from scratch. I know the previous coach was recruiting in a way to get a range from mid-d on up, obviously. Field events would be a nightmare and I don't think there's a staff. Also, there's no track so I wonder where they would practice. But still...
Any news on other Throws positions?
Ole Miss?
Michigan State?
CMU? IF they are looking for a new coach.
Any school really.
SJSU has found an assistant coach. idk who it is because its not official yet. Announcement should be either end of this week or early next week
UNT fired distance coach Sam Burroughs. He has been hired as the distance coach at University Cincinnati. Any word on the new UNT coach?
They hired the female GA from Florida State. Stephanie something.
Great pick up by JJ. The big name national renown coach. Hmmmm

CMU has retained John Ridgway! Not sure on MSU or Ole Miss...
i doubt this is true
You'll smell what the Glavash is cookin soon
Actually that was a great hire by J.J. it has secured his downfall and will keep the sprint seat warm for the next real sprint coach. What an insult to the Vols. But a windfall for the SEC. Glavash is about to get a real baptism of fire. Should of stayed at Illinois. The Vol Nation should not worry, We will get our program back. We will not let the work of Webb, Watts, Anderson ,Brown and Huntsman go in vain. Rocky Top will return. You can bet your rear end on it!!!!

What do the distance runners think of the Head Track coach at Western Kentucky?
From what I've heard, not a very good relationship.
