90K has to draw some attention.

Any word on the University of North Dakota throws job?
The UND job just posted yesterday. From what I've read North Dakota policy requires a minimum 3 weeks of posting before any candidates can even be called, so it'll be a long wait. I would guess they go in the same direction as the previous coach. Young, local and aggressive recruiter...probably a d3 coach from MN, WI or one of the NAIA Dakota schools. Looks like a good situation though, new 300m facility under construction, lots of travel, large young throws group and USTFCCCA just released team GPA's UND was 2nd on the women and 8th on the men.
Coach Vaughn was fired from Cal State LA for making a death threat on the distance coach. There is a reason why coach Vaughn doesn't last very long at his coaching stints.
If you knew what you were talking about then you would know that's not true

forced minority hire that doesn't deserve the position...
goes back to all the arguments about posted before about race and equality... there you go. you can shut up now.
Perhaps you have never been a head coach, or had to put together a staff:
There is value in having diversity on staff, especially in a sport where the student-atheltes are diverse.
Not every position is a high paid, high experience, high expectation, high responsibility position. There are entry level positions where coaches are mentored by more senior members of staff. "doesn't deserve the position" means you are making an awful lot of judgements, so I surely hope you know all of your facts about the position and the person.
The LSU/A&M group is trying to push another former staff member in Zach Glavash of Eastern Michigan to work for JJ.

Saw a quote for the Director at Tennessee on TandFnews that he will announce the addition of a national renown sprint coach in the next few days. Wonder who could that be after this extensive search. VH? Tim H? Maybe RG will be back; some guy name Zach keep coming up in conversation with a few people.
What is the hold up anyway.

there is truth to your statement. no argument here. I understand why the hire was made.
I can understand the need to have diversity on a staff. And I understand that not all positions are highly paid. But let's be honest here, this woman does not have the credentials to have earned this spot with her background and experiences. You cannot make me believe that OU could have not found a more qualified female/minority to take that position. It is a major D-I program. Something stinks.

Success of a program is not completely surrounded around credentials. It's about providing the right pieces to the puzzle. There's more to team management than credentials.
no well at least we have been told that head coach erik jenkins is looking to hire a coach for the women
yes

You My friend are an idiot, there was no death Threat, what so ever. Stop making things up about good people. I was there.
OU has hired an assistant coach for sprints, hurdles and they have hired an assistant coach who will be director of ops. This position is the assistant to the assistants in those area. So how qualified does one need to be? A quick google search shows this kid jumped 21-10, ran 13.3 in the hurdles and scored over 5000 points in the hept, and it looks like she won every academic award her school and conference could bestow on her. Has a master's degree in leadership.....Sounds to me like has all the qualifications needed for that level of position.
Not sure why Cal State LA would fire someone after just 6 months on the job. That seems very very fishy.

Keep up with current events Zach Glavash is at Illinois now, formerly of Eastern Michigan, where he did a good job coaching sprints. Has been an understudy of Coach Henry and Vince Anderson and Dion Miller(Texas Tech), therefore making him qualified to be a coach at Tenn, if hired
Delaware ever hire?
Iowa ever hire?
Lafayette?
Eastern Michigan?
Albany?
William and Mary?
Is sports media that lazy they can't post press releases in the summer?
