The woman coach is now coaching the men too. Those Ole Miss recruits must be devastated.

Why? Seems like shes had more coaching success than Kennedy.
Rumor has it he's heading to Texas A&M as the jumps coach to take over the vacated spot there.
Guthrie was not returning to Wisconsin so getting the CMU job was important for him.
I don't get it? wrote:

Coaching both genders at a program that is trying to be built up is a lot to ask any coach. And she is certainly young.

She's two year's older than Kennedy. At her last job she coached both genders, Kennedy only coached men. It's wild how she is judged vs. Kennedy. I'm not anti-Kennedy at all but I just don't get it. I guess he's part of the club and she's not.
she didn't coach both genders. li coached both genders, she was the assistant. big difference
You figure that Guthrie was hired by Nutty and Mick probably wants to bring in his choice.
There's the other rumor that Hayes could be going there, and I feel like the woman's coach would have a harder time connecting to the guys than the girls... in daily life and training.
Bad mistake...I've seen him coach over the years and he is not SEC material. Having a Jamaican jump 46' when she jumped 45' before he got him doesn't mean anything. Henry will not put up with that long...But hey, CarJay, good luck and you deserve it

Amen. Truth is, she has never been in charge until this past year.
Period.
NOW, we can see if she can coach!?
"Jake Shaver from Fontbonne University to Millikin is the word from St. Louis this weekend."
Anybody heard about Fontbonne? Is it too late to apply? STL wouldn't be the worst place to land.

Lalang and his teammate, Stephen Sambu, produced numerous Pac-12 titles and All-America honors during the season.
In the women's 10,000 meters, Elvin Kibet took seventh place at the NCAA Outdoor Championships
In her time at NAU, Lopez Lomong won two NCAA titles

Is everyone from the Boise State staff out? I know Petersmeyer is at SJSU.. but what happens to Wick?
Also Vance from Boise...He did a great job with a limited throws squad...Where's he going to land?

A) until something is announced, relax.
B) look into Fontbonne before you think is a great place to "land"
She also jumped 6 + in the High Jump and has totally disappeared as a high jumper. Another example of a coach lucking out with a great athlete.
Although I didn't follow WI 400 runners all too closely, it doesn't seem like Guthrie had the success you'd expect at WI. In fact I don't know that WI ever even matched the times he produced at UWLaCrosse.
Wick basically got screwed over at BSU despite doing a great job with limited resources while there .

Truth is, this woman was "coaching" under Li. She drove the van, bought snacks, and took splits but not in a leadership position. Wasn't she fired from AZ for stirring up staff turmoil (just what i've heard)? If so, sounds like a familiar situation to me. She signed a class of frosh that have run fast but have all had problems of some sort. Only time will tell what she's made of there!
As for the guys, with the two milers they have coming in there's no excuse for not having success right away. Kennedy snagged some studs.
