Could it be Guthrie that interviewed at CMU ?

Well he could go just down the road to Michigan State or if there is an opening on the west coast he may go back there since he's a CSU-LA alum. But I'm not saying he's going to CSU-LA even though they have a HC spot open.
Cal had a throws opening too.

Who is Guthrie?
The guy with 22 national titles and his own books. Distance people need to get out of their shells.
Where is Coach Dagata now?
If it's true about Coach Burroughs getting the Cinci gig, then I am happy for him. Glad to see a hard working coach get a job in this tough market!
Now when you said HAD a opening do you know who they hired?

Guthrie does have a good resume on paper or so it appears. But he also got let go at Wisconsin for a reason. What was it? Seems like a guy on the tail end of his career trying to hang on.

Dagata = Director of Ops?
Dagata is combined events/vertical jumps and ops at Oklahoma.
Indiana Tech has 3 part time postions open currently:
Throws
Jumps
Pole Vault
All positions are paid, but part time. Indiana Tech is located in Fort Wayne, IN and competes in the NAIA, where they won last years Men's and Women's Outdoor track & Field National Championships. Would be a good entry level position for younger coaches looking to break into the college ranks. Email the head coach if interested. His info is on the website
wholly molly...what a talented coaching staff! They will be force at the NCAA Championships very soon. Horizontal jumps and distance? Anyone?
Halter and LaFever have been there forever. There is a lot o turn over at all college programs across the country. Its the nature of the sport. Two previous pairs of assisant coaches have been husband and wife combos. One of the couples want to be there for their growing family. Now both are involved locally in education. Kareem had the chance to go back to Texas and when longhorns come calling its hard to say no to that type of job. Things are good nothing to worry or gossip about.

Horizontal Jumps = Jimmy V - the head coach.
