Spartans closing deal on Maag or Hetzendorf?
Either would be solid choices
Wisconsin recruiting coordinator/asst. distance coach starts at a minimum of $54,545/yr (12-month appt.) Could go higher depending on qualifications...
BTW, how much is Mick's new salary as the combined director?? In 2008-09, the combined program was spending over $500K paying the entire M/W coaching staffs...must be higher now...

The first time I tried it took 9.1 seconds. After two more attempts my average ended up at 8.6. I'm using safari as by browser on a MacBook if this helps.
Read that Tom Kloos took the men's Saint Marys of CA job.
Press Release on Kloos..

What is up with all this big programs hiring these women who have never coached before and then finding out that they can't coach at all; Tennessee and now UCLA. Didn't the Throws Coach at Tennessee just left and went to UCLA? Did he make that hire? If anything, he should have learnt from his experience/experiment at Tennessee.
You do realize that she has items on her resume that trump things almost all other candidates might have, right? She did not get lucky, she was very good for very long and knows a lot of people and has probably learned more from them than most assistant coaches. Let us say you are being recruited and one assistant comes and shows how good they have been getting two hurdlers in to the NCAAs. Then JH arrives and talks about what you do before and after you win those really shinny things...

The only thing that she has that helped her was the she is an UCLA alum, and that's what the program and the other alums want.

Idiot. Do you not know who she is what she's done?
Idiot, So... a Gold Medal should get you a high profile coaching job? show me someone she has coached. If medals are the measuring stick now, Let's start hiring State champions also.
That seems like a solid fit for Kennedy. Brought in a solid group at Mississippi according to the boards. Has coached in midwest multiple times.

Wisconsin are looking for recruiting coordinator for combined program.
They better get someone in there who knows how to close deals. Mick has been awful at that over the years. It'd be a good move if they brought in someone who's younger (30ish), who has strong recruiting ties to the Midwest (IL, IN, MN, OH, MO) and could help with some of the middle distance talent they have.
Gavin Kennedy seems like the man. Him and Mick are good friends.
No, you're the idiot for disrespecting an Olympic gold medalist and then putting her on par with a State Champion. Seriously? She's been around forever, knows her skill, and I say good for them hiring an alumni. If I was a recruit, hell yeah I'd consider going there to be coached by an Olympic gold medalist.
JH is not just another retired athlete coasting into a coaching gig. If her resume didn't have Oly Champ on it, she would still be an impressive hire. Know what you are talking about before spouting...
So does this mean Stinzi is out? I thought just demoted? Three dist coaches doesn't make sense in combined program that has real track team.
Don't think this was posted yet... Official announcement from Cincinnati: http://www.gobearcats.com/sports/c-track/spec-rel/071113aaa.html
