All AD's care about is staying out of trouble, they can care less about production in a non-revenue sport. Suprised he would put this in jeopardy with this hire.
I guess birds of a feather really do stick together.
"Birds of a feather?" Please explain that comment. Coach Greene is a stand up guy with no tainted past as far as I know. And please list ONE example of Huffins getting into "trouble." His tainted past consists of a few people not liking him because of his personality. Your comment either implies both Greene and Huffins are likely to get into trouble or that they are both black. One comment makes you a racist and the other should get you sued.
pretty sure Huffins' "tainted past" includes mis-allocating scholarships to a pretty hefty sum, and a few other shady situations that were not malicious, just shady.

Is this all you people do? Sit on a computer and bad mouth other coaches? If you all got something negative to say, be a man and put your real names up. Don't be coward and hide behind screen names. Sad thing is, most of you are coaches that smiles in these same people faces, then get online and talk trash about a man or woman get a job. I wish I knew who some of your were, I'd do everything in my power to have you all fired and sued for defamation.

Cuz' "DC" is your name? Even if you now say your actual name, you already used a nickname while lambasting others for the same. Apologize

Where in that statement did I mention anyone's name? You, just like the rest that sets on this site and disrespect these people who are just trying to make a living is low class. What does Purdue's hire have to do with any of you? Why does Greene'a name must be drug thru the mud for what he feels is best for his program? Why is Ohio State under attack for? What is the issue with the EMU hire? What is the problem with USC going in the direction they went in? All you COACHES should be fired for your social media acts right now.

Your points might be taken more seriously if you bothered to write effectively. Your replies are written at a 7th grade level.

Wasn't this thread once about Coaching Positions that were open and the latest news on who's going where? All this other crap is ridiculous. In the words of Sweet Brown, "Ain't nobody got time fo dat!"
You've got a valid point as does DC4x. Both are important regarding collegiate coaching positions open(ing). As a former collegiate coach, I have experienced the negative envy-driven back biting that occurs in recruiting and on message boards. When it comes time for people to get jobs, the jealousy factor kicks in and people get to taking anonymous pot shots and LRC seems to be a lightening rod for such activity. Truths, half-truths, and outright lies all get thrown in the mix of negativity. Oddly enough, the majority of people doing it would never had the nads to say it straight to their target's face. Case in point, I give my man Lamont Johnson some props and a couple people feel the need to pounce with some false crap. Having said all that, it needs to be pointed out that confidentiality laws regarding employees often prohibit past employers from "spilling the beans" about unethical behavior. Often times, the most a school can comment about is whether or not they would rehire that person. Anything beyond that increases that school's legal liability and risks incurring adverse publicity. Therefore, it somebody had knowledge and PROOF (key aspect) of illegal, unethical, or immoral activity on the part of a coach, I would see nothing wrong with sharing that evidence with the future employers. I would think that it would elevate our profession and help weed out those who clearly have no business working with student-athletes.Best of luck to those starting new jobs and to those of us who are still searching for a new job. Disclaimer: Before the inevitable cracks about my email address and the KSU program are hurled...I'm simply an alum and we are allowed access to that email account if we desire. I do not coach at Kent State.

kw: so we should believe someone like you that has applied for every job in sight over the last 20 years. Even when someone comes and states a truth, people like you come one and disclaim it. Your statement that your bud had paid his dues in not accurate. Quite frankly the dude has had a checkered past and should clean up his act. If he does then more power to him and good luck to him.
Thanks for making my case for me.

Ole Miss hires UF grad Mariam Kevkhishvili as throws coach. I'm speechless.
So this woman SHOTPUTTER is going to coach the javelin, discus, hammer throw, shotput, and weight throwers at Ole Miss? Says who?
