There are a lot of international kids paying part of their school. It's not a full scholarship or nothing business with international recruiting.

Huffins?
?
In regards hiring a mid-distance specialist, I hope so!
HUffins will be the Purdue assistant.
How may jobs will Huffins have in the next ten years?
The past 3 seasons he's been in E. Michigan, OK, and Clemson. Now Purdue?
Track's verson of muscial chairs?
He went 14:13 or somewhere around that for 5k. I agree he hasn't done much besides a couple of races. He'll get there though.

More like every conference... Pac 10, MAC, Big 12, ACC, and now Big 10. Just a few more to go.
Huffins to the Southland!
Although it may not be as common in track & field, this type of movement happens in football and basketball all the time. Circumstances arise from changes in head coaches, etc. that necessitate moving. Sometimes life just intercedes. In either event, what do you care? Chris Huffins has a lot to offer any program and if he chooses to seek out various opportunities, then your ragging on him helps neither him, you, or the sport.

Exactly. Just because his personality turns some people off doesn't mean he can't coach. I know him. Most of his moves come down to bad timing. He can coach almost every event area and recruit blue chip athletes. He's got an Olympic medal and and WC medal. His experience is rare. He's been in the game a long time and most of you would be surprised at how intelligent he is about our sport.

he should take the Texas A&M Commerce job. Sure, it's D2, but alot of talent to develop.
Huffins should do what he likes, and if people want to sign him on, then just live n let live!
But he's promising recruits he's going to be there, then leaves, or, he's asked to leave because of problems. It's not that its about him as much as the students. If you think it's great, fine. However, just looking at it from the standpoint of the kids, if you're in a recruiting battle, that instability is likely to be a factor to win kids over, and away from him. I mean all you have to do is say "take a look at the last 3 years" and that kid is liable to get suspicious of wether they actually are going to get his coaching for nevermind the next 4 years, but the next 2, or 1. It just seems opportunist, and that's it's more about the coach than the kids. That has to be SOME consideration, doesn't it?
He leaves every place, he even left Purdue as a student to go to Cal. The guy's as stable as St Andrea's fault. There's movement in careers, sure, but this is off the chart, even for DI.
Sloan retiring at WSU..... Hopefully they give the job to Alum and current Assistant Mark Macdonald. They guy gets it done and has been there long time....
Anyone know whats going on with Bucknell? I haven't seen any talk about the job.
Bucknell should hire Pat Henry for 2x what he makes now and try to win the ncaa. Then cut the program and walk off in the sunset.
Cal State LA - may never hire a head coach
San Diego State - sprints
Texas AM Commerce - Head
Kansas State - sprints
New Orleans - Head
