OSU students moved in this weekend. Last year, Dennis handled XC practices until KD arrived. I'd assume the same thing is happening now.

Poor kids!
Dennis probably thinks anybody can coach cross country and she isn't too far from being right. While all the smart distance coaches are getting women eating disorders and stress fractures, she is prescribing easy running miles and sprint work. They ran pretty good last year at Regionals!
Illinois has filled the distance position with a big hire. Look for announcement in the next couple days.
Any word on Niagara, Texas A&M Commerce or colorado Mines

We know its Scott Jones, why don't you ?
I don't think Scott is a big hire.
Had a nice run at Akron, but the Big 10 is a different level completely.
Glad to hear he has landed on his feet though. Dennis Mitchell is terrible.
Darren Schneider to MSU Moorhead.
Any one care to explain this move? Left Texas A&M Commerce and 63k a year for Moorhead and 61k a year? Saw that he went to school in Missouri but that doesn't really explain it. Did work in Wisconsin for a while.
Did Auburn find someone to fill Jerry Clayton's (very large) shoes coaching the jumps and throws?
how about the Nebraska PV/multis job?
try reading the article you posted.
They hired the coach from Army to coach the throws and waiting for someone to get back from Moscow for the horizontals jumps.

Huffins?
What are chances of Karen having an XC coach in place before first meet? Do odds increase much by Big 10's?
If she actually hires Casey, both men's and women's team rosters will soon look like an international All-Star team. Bet Ohio and surrounding midwest high school coaches will be flocking to send their girls to tOSU then.
Can't win at OSU.
Gary got hammered for only recruiting Ohio.
New coach gets hammered for recruiting foreigners.
Tosu CC fans sound just like the football fans there.
Gary probably DID rely too heavily on Ohio and for that was never able to be Top 10 at NCAA. However, numerous Top 15's and Big 10 runner-ups was doing very well for how heavily he relied on Ohio. If he would have occasionally went out of the state for a horse, tOSU may have made jump to Top 10 team at NC's.
That being said, no one wants to see the opposite end of the spectrum either by putting an international pipeline in place.
We'll definitely know the program's strategy given the coaching selection they put forth in the coming days.
Where is Michael Brajic? Was a complete stud in HS. Broke Bob Kennedy's state meet record!
But to the original thread, no way Coach Dennis doesn't hire a middle distance specialist.
Each International student requires a FULL athletic scholarship.
No way Dennis gives even 1 distance kid a full ride.
Congratulations to Scott Jones who is most deserving and will do an outstanding job back at Illinois. He has great ties to the midwest and internationally and has proven that he can develop talent. Good for him and good for UI. Akron's loss is the Illini's gain!

Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
