Foot Locker South, 3.03 miles today due to change in Start/Finish. Solid races.
Two girls made nationals from Saint Marys
One from West Virginia
One from Pennsylvania
No change in the start. Only time that was abnormal was #1.

McGorty's time was not that unexpected considering that at the Virginia state meet he trounced Alan Webb's course record by I think 16 seconds. If I recall correctly Alan Webb ran like a 14:43 at McAlpine his senior year.
I believe it was a torrential downpour when Alan Webb ran the course. Also, most people who have run that course know it's at least 70m short of a 5k
Anyone know anything about Erin Finn, Ashley Erba, or Julia Bos?
Finn had stomach flu and placed 12th. Bos had a knee injury and did not run.
Looks like Zola Budd Pieterse, 46 years old, would have been the 10th qualifier for the girls in the South.
She ran 17:31 at the McAlpine Speedway the same day as Foot Locker.

I'm surprised that she is still running that fast. She didn't run for a long time, at least not competitively.

Seems like you are going with the "if you can't beat 'em...bash 'em" approach.
either that, or he's taking what one extreme says and turns it back on them.
