I MOW MY YARD IN THE SUMMER which I would NOT have to do if those darn glaciers that were here in Ohio didn't melt because of global warming.

Bought a Hemi so I can spew even more hydrocarbons into the atmosphere and send some hurricanes your way.

Here are some serious things that I do/don't do
-Buy carbon offsets for my truck
-By 100% wind electricity from my utility
-Recycle about 70% of my refuse
-Support politicians with good policy on this issue
-Use low flow shower heads
-LED and CFL bulbs
-Keep lights off and thermostat low
-Use my girlfriends Prius whenever possible
-Use my bike whenever possible
-Stopped eating beef almost entirely. The methane emissions from cattle are very bad, and the turkey farms in my area burn the poop to make clean, renewable electricity.
-Consolidate trips for less driving.

I do these things too because it saves me money. The hard truth is that your actions have little impact because China is driving CO2 emissions.
1. What nation produces the greatest amount of CO2? China
2. What nation has the greatest CO2 emission increase per year? China
3. If the US dropped CO2 emissions to ZERO (impossible but used for illustration), how long would it take for China's increases to surpass the current CO2 emissions of the United States? About 9-10 years

WE HAVE THE POWER TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF THE ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR BENEFIT, or make it worse.
Ignorant people like you make me want to live off the grid more and more.
Improving the condition of it is not the same as climate change.
Feel free to move to Somalia as soon as you wish. They also do not believe in God.
I stay off glaciers.
OK. Let's take a deep breath and get back to the OP's topic at hand (I know you guys get your culos in a twist over religious versus non-religious, relax).
I'm really talking to those claiming to be progressive, liberal, climate change non-deniers here (all others, just f-off and hang out with the flat-earth, holocaust-denial support groups, OK?).
No, this question is for those want to lean forward on fighting climate change:
Why isn't becoming Vegan at the top of the list of things you can and should do?
(Let it sink in, take a breath, and now think about it):
Ponder for a moment how much time, energy, fuel, pollution via cattle-trucks, and green-house gas that is exploding from bovine ass.
MEAT get's fed more food than a sizeable chunk of Humanity.
I don't think anyone can call themselves truly blue (let alone green) without embracing a plant-based diet. All of these other little "trinkets" are just token, half-ass efforts (green light-bulbs... come the f u c k on people!).
I became a Vegan for "health" reasons initially, but the more I go on, the more I think that you aren't allowed to call yourself liberal, progressive, and green while still consuming animal products.
I'm blown away at how many people on these boards who claim to progressive will run to defend meat when dietary debates arise.
So start with what you feed your face with people! Otherwise, you aren't serious about climate change if your eating habits are virtually the same as your knuckle-dragging conservative neighbour.
"MEAT get's fed more food than a sizeable chunk of Humanity."
lol
damn cow farting will be the death of us all. I'm going to start feeding my cows gas-x, just to help with greenhouse gas emissions. You're welcome, bitches.
This guy loves to take a deep breath. And what I love is a greasy steak. That's right.
That Gas-X was probably delivered in a carbon-spewing truck. It's lose-lose for everyone.
no, no. All my deliveries are made in yak-pulled oxcarts. Adds a bit to the shipping cost, but at least I don't have to worry about carbon credits
ASAP SHUT THE EXITING DOOR, instead of pushing it fully open when no one's behind you. Glance over your shoulder- if no one there, shut it.
This would save $$ for the business & conserve energy.
