From baseball, Bryce Harper, because he would run until he died.

This is a funny thread as my wife was asking me this the other day.
I told her without thinking about it "Someone small" - a point guard in basketball or a cornerback/WR/RB in football.
I was thinking Steve Nash as he likes soccer right?
What about those like 5'6 WRs. The Cowboys have one now - the Wes Welker types?
I just know I can rule out a 7 foot center and a 320 pound lineman.
Soccer players shouldn't be allowed to count here.
It's a shame they don't have the "Superstars" competition anymore. LetsRun.com could sponsor a mile in it.

I think Welker would be too big. He is a power runner as it is.
I've heard of a bunch of smallish pointguards who supposedly ran under the mile in highschool.
This is just from the nba based on what I have seen/heard
Steve Nash: Generally known for being the most fit player in the league still playing at a high level at 38
Rip Hamilton: Heard he ran 420s in high school for the mile, various interviews he details his off season running regiment
Rajon Rondo: Just based on his build, very skinny and lanky and is the consistent sparkplug for a team that has a core of 34+ year old players.
Reggie Miller (Back in the day) : A little bit too tall but was bone thin and constantly running around screens all game long had to have some natural fitness there.
Steph Curry: Similar build to Reggie except smaller which may make him a better candidate. Ran pg for don nelson's uptempo offense and in college was constantly running off screens and getting away from double teams for 40 minutes.
Jason Kidd: Back in his prime when he was a little skinnier he was constantly pushing the break and hustling all game based on his rebounding numbers for being a pg.
Brandon Jennings: Very Skinny build and is pretty short for an NBA point guard. Could probably develop into a decent distance runner
Ricky Rubio: Smallish frame for an nba point guard. From spain so he probably played some soccer at some point in his life competitively. And he's white so he fits the prototypical american distance runner.
vince wilfork and prince fielder
Lebron James, because he's f*cking Lebron James and is more dedicated to being the best at his craft than any pro distance runner ever.

Must admit I had not heard of a revived Superstars.
Since your first page comment indicates something is afoot, will you be following up on sponsoring a mile in it?
Following the process to become a title sponsor of the mile would be a good thread topic.
I hope you get the chance to do it.
Best of luck
