YES the race SHOULD have been cancelled! but cancelled right away instead of bringing in another 100,000+ more people (runners and their families) into a "decimated war zone"!

But the fact is that the NYRR's DID brIng all these people in, so it now falls on the NYRR's to either have the race or reimburse EVERY runner for their entry fee and travel expenses! If the NYRR's cango bankrupt because they can't cover the expenses, that's just too bad! They should have made better management decisions and not got themselves into this mess in the first place!

Also... For everyone that says this is not their fault? That's BS! The NYRR's could have easily taken out an insurance policy that would have covered all the expenses in the event of weather canceling the event!
