Makau is fresh. I'll go with 2:03:03 barely misses sub 2:03 as this time he doesn't waste valuable time zig zagging across the road.

Frankfurt is only 5 hours ahed of east coast time this week because we don't "fall back" until next week. That means the race starts at 5, not 4.
It's 1:21 am ET and the race website says it starts in 2:39 so that would be 4 AM ET.
http://www.bmw-frankfurt-marathon.com/also in the womens race bezunesh bekele, mamitu daska and 5/10k star meselech melkamu looking to go under 2:20
also in the mens race victor kipchirchir a 59:31 half marathoner makes his debut
GO BEZUNESH
The race starts at 10 am local time, which is 1 our from now, or 5 AM EDT.
There is a high quality livestream on German public broadcaster "hr", which you can find via the website - right now, I can tune in from the UK. It's possible that the livestream is blocked to international viewers once the race starts. Try it here:
Click on "Umschalten auf Hohe Qualität" for high quality.
I would not expect a WR. The current temperature is -1°C, i.e. just below freezing, and the maximum temperature is forecast to be 4°C. The course is probably as fast as Berlin (which is close to the optimum), and I don't think there is a lack of pace makers, but a WR is just not on.
As a fan of German running, I'll be watching Sören Kah - he ran an impressive solo half 1:04 in Munich two weeks ago, and said he would aim at 2:13. I don't know how much he'll be affected by the temperature (Munich was quite hot), but I think he has it in him. Unfortunately, I am less excited about Lisa Hahner, but I'd still be interested to see how she does.
Wish I spoke German. Seems like the stream hasn't started yet. GL to Makau.
As I'm writing this, the race starts in 53 minutes. If the countdown on the race website says otherwise it is because it did not take the end of day light saving time in Germany into account.

My german isn't the greatest as I haven't taken it in 2 years but from what I can tell, the feed starts at 4:30 ET and the race is at 5 ET

jesus man, do you not have google?
the race starts at 10 am in Frankfurt. That is FIVE AM EASTERN TIME.
This has been pointed out to you multiple times.
This coverage is awful. Stop showing random landmarks in the city, the huge masses, interviews of random people running. Show the freaking race.
Worst coverage of all-time. Any other links out there?

it's 15 mins in to the race. there's nothing happening at the front at the moment. why not show the part that 99% of the viewers would actually be interested in?
5k in 15:05 (projected finish 2:07:15)

Fair enough. However, if the coverage is still like this in 45 minutes, I will be unhappy.
