Salazar has already gone on record that Conte contacted him, because Conte heard about Salazar's exercise induced health problems. Conte offered drug free supplements. That is how Conte got started worming his way into the world of elite athletes.
Salazar ended up not working with Conte.

As far as mentioning Salazar, well, Conte's always been an attention whore.
There are some serious holes in Conte's understanding of physiology. I can only imagine how many other topics he bullsh*ts.
Conte was the base player for Tower of Power, while he does know more about PEDS than the average pencil necked runner, the real brains behind Balco was Patrick Arnold.

he may live for attention, sure, but he's been behind the scenes quite a bit. he makes an interesting connection of angel hernandez (memo herredia) and bolt.

there's no way of validating anything, in fact. even gravity can't be validated completely. it could be a coincidence. you can't even validate that anyone around you is human, we could all be figments of your imagination, especially that you are the "marijuologist".
that being said, if you actually listen to the interview you can see that Conte is extremely knowledgeable.
