The band at the wedding reception he was at. Not random; it has to do with the difference between playing the notes (doing a job) and playing the music (feeling what you do).
That literal explanation is pretty lame for a QOTD. Figured rojo would have Pauly D spinning tracks instead of some silly wedding band.

Fairly sure the quote is referring to the married couple, rather than being a literal statement about the quality of the music.

Some married couples are just ho-hum (Playing the notes), but those guys (Rojo and Eljo)are playing the music (They are really in love and doing big things).

who are "those guys"? It's an odd statement to make in reference to a wedding, unless it is taken as a literal statement about the quality of the band at the reception.
