No one seems to know how old Cheserek is.....and that is the point: if he can't prove his age he should not be running in high school races..... don't give me the lazy American arguemnet...Craig Virgin ran 8:40 or so and Pre ran 8:42 or so. Me, personally, I think he looks 23 years old. Is that fair competition? NO.

What do you mean? He's said how old he is, and he's provided a birth certificate. He looks his age, and he's not outlandishly fast. Why do you think he looks 23? He doesn't have a beard, he doesn't have a receding hairline, he doesn't have a hint of wrinkles. What, exactly, makes you think he's 23?

I don't begrudge the guy a college scholarship but I think the integrity of high school competition is huge....if he is over 19, please get him off the course.

Only lazy or stupid people do not know how old Cheserek is. I just found out his age as listed on the IAAF site in 10 seconds. I'd tell you, but I suspect you'd just come up with some other excuse as to why soft American kids need affirmative action in running.
You're not man enough for Laura Hollander. She doen't make excuses; she just trains hard and runs fast. I recommend you tell soft white boys to do the same.

Whe you start posting threads complaining abut the white BYU runners who really are 25 years old instead of speculating that every great african born american high school runner is too old then maybe you will stop being rightfully identified as a racist.
Assuming all these "old" Kenyans running in HS and college, how come then that Americans cant beat them in pro races and the Olympics, at which point they would be masters runner...or do they stop aging when its convenient for you?

Kenyans who are too old in high school and college later become master runners who are too young. At least they do in Letsrun World

If you like to look things up so much, try looking up Danny Almonte......American kids who run xc are far from soft, but after college have to decide whether to go native (epo) or run clean and not be a factor....Your Euro coaches and african runners have ruined the sport of long distance running.
Danny Almonte is from the Dominican Republic and played baseball. Edward Cheserek is from Kenya and runs cross country. Amercian white boys are soft and lazy and their parents and coaches make excuses for them because they are little girlies who are afraid they can't compete against the best athletes. Try and stay on topic.
Regardless of whether or not if Cheserek or too old, why does he get the American HS record? He is not even American. If he is fast enough to get the Kenyan HS record he should get that, but if somebody isn't a citizen they shouldn't get the record. That's the only problem I have with Cheserek.
Maybe it's because his high school is in America?
