I agree with most of what you said; however, you need to take your medication it's not that seriously, Sugar!

Some people just deserve it. Calling someone an idiot when they are the idiot is just wrong.
Who cares about the name calling the focus should be on Miss Laura Hollander who just keep getting faster (regardless of the course) 6000m in 19:12 is BLAZING even on the track!!!
She could very well be pointing/peaking to go sub 19 at NCAA XC.
Once a female goes sub 19 minutes on a XC she is in a select group as that doesn't happen too often, not even regularly among the best African and Europeans.
After Shelia Reid graduated I really thought Jordan Hasay would have a great shot at winning an NCAA XC title; however, this year she may struggle to make the TOP 20!!!
I agree that this year may belong to Laura Hollander as
Katie Kroeger 20:06 just spanked Jordan Hasay 20:10 at Pac 12 and Laura has slaughtered Katie Kroeger twice this year in cross country.
Alot of people know about Laura but NCAA results will be posted on IAAF this year and that will be Laura Hollander introduction to the world "HELLO WORLD" when she blows away 31:15 10000m runner Betsy Saina.
I seriously don't know where some people get this stuff. Hollander has beaten Kroeger ONCE this year at Wisconsin. Prior to that, she beat Sarah Sumpter, not Kathy Kroeger (and Kroeger is much better). Hasay is coming on strong (and was very sick today), but I think the race will come down to Betsy Saina and Abbey D'Agostino (if healthy) trying to chase down Hollander.
The last km of the Wisconsin woman's course is ~75m short, so the negative split is not that big (add 15 seconds)
asdlgj
In 2012 XC the 1st time Laura Hollander beat Kathy Kroeger was at UCLA and the 2nd time was Wisconsin, so why don't you check the facts before posting!
Noticeable scalps Laura has in 2012 XC
Betsy Saina
Jordan Hasay
Kathy Kroeger TWICE
just about every contender except Abby
Did you know she also set Course Records in all 4 of her meets and by incredible margins?
And Hollander does it again at Big West
1 Laura Hollander FR Cal Poly 19:12.6 1
2 Sarah Sumpter JR UC Davis 19:44.4 2
3 Alycia Cridebring JR UC Davis 20:13.8 3
4 Damajeria Dubose SR UC Riverside 20:16.0 4
5 Katie Fry SO UC Davis 20:24.6 5
6 Daniella Moreno SO UC Santa Barbara 20:25.4 6
7 Savannah Pio SO Cal Poly 20:27.9 7
8 Vanessa Hancock SR Cal Poly 20:33.5 8
9 Raquel Hefflin SO UC Riverside 20:34.3 9
10 Alisia Barajas SR Long Beach St. 20:39.8 10
I agree that Laura is great and running well, but she beat Sarah Sumpter at UCLA and not Kathy Kroeger. She also has not raced Jordan Hasay (Hasay ran PreNats), and also has not raced Pappas, Tuliamuk, Kimaiyo, Lagat, Sisson, or other contenders other than D'Agostino.
SERIOUSLY there are only three contenders for this year women's NCAA XC title:
Laura Hollander
Betsy Saina
Abby D'Agostino
the rest of the women you named are just top competing for spots after those three prementioned women.
THIRD PLACE and why
1.
2.
3. Abby D'Agostino- coming off a slight injury if she is 100% could actually win but I think the coach is downplaying her fitness. She could actually finish worse then 3rd if she isn't near 80-90%.
SECOND PLACE and why
1.
2. Betsy Saina will go after Hollander forcing Laura to continue pressing until Betsy lets go and she fades in the last 1000m.
3. Abby D'Agostino-coming off a slight injury if she is 100% could acually win but I think her coach is downplaying her fitness.
FIRST PLACE and why
1. LAURA HOLLANDER: knows she doesn't have a kick but since losing 40 lbs after her junior year she's improved her cardio greatly. Her breakthru year started her senior year not THIS YEAR; however, this year she is benefiting from two years of injury free training and 40lbs lighter.
She will continue to force the pace until she drops everyone and I think she will drop her finally competitor before 5000m.
2. BETSY SAINA: will go after Hollander forcing Laura to continue pressing until Betsy lets go and she fades in the last 1000m.
3. ABBY D'AGOSTINO: coming off a slight injury if she is 100% could acually win but I think her coach is downplaying her fitness.
Saina will also have team issues to consider. That said, she let Hollander get off to a big lead at Wisconsin and still only lost by two seconds at the end. Some people here make it sound like Hollandar won by 20 seconds. She didn't.
The NCAA race, assuming Hollandar gets through the Regional as an individual :), will likely play out the same way. Hollandar could win easily, or get run down at the end by a small pack.
If Laura Hollanders runs to her capablilities a small pack will not run her down, she is definitely top 3 at the very worst and a frontrunner for the win. I agree she is going to pound and pound until everyone woman falls off her heels. Now one or two maybe able to reel her back in if Laura is having an off day and dies at the end but NO PACK WILL BE WITH 30-45 seconds of Laura Hollander. Please stop smoking whatever it is your on.

Hollander almost got run down by Saina at Wisconsin. And if Saina had some help . . . . .
Let's look at the video linked below from the Wisconsin meet and see where Hollander is in relation to Saina at the various points and then the third runner in the field, ignoring Bottorff being a little rambunctious at 1.1K, 2.7K and 3.3K. And that third runner was always part of a small pack.
1.1K: Hollander +3, +3
2.7K: Hollander +11, +11
3.3K: Hollander +11, +12
4.4K: Hollander +8, +14
5.0K: Hollander +8, +16
6.0K: Hollander +2, +10
Hollander's largest documented lead during the race was about 11 seconds over Saina and about 16 seconds over third, which was always most definitely a small pack. Stunning leads in a field of that quality, obviously.
There were 13 runners that finished within 30 seconds of Hollander and 30 that finished within 45 seconds. I don't see that small pack extending from 10 seconds out to 30 or 45 seconds.
Also, there were some quality runners, roughly on a par with Saina, probably not as good, but in the ballpark, that weren't in the race. Possibly enough to form a small pack.
The good thing is we'll find out soon enough.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptmxV4O5q2oA girl who was a 11:29 3200 runner 18 months ago is now the favorite to win NCAA's. Absolutely unprecedented.
I feel really bad for Laura that she had so many idiots posting on this thread, putting as much pressure as possible on a freshman. Laura did not deserve the majority of the posts.
Laura had a great year and hopefully everyone remembers that. I am sure several of these posters will now become fans of someone else and try to crown them NCAA champions almost two months before the race.
So no apologies from many of the posters on this thread, especially golaura and undefeated freshman. Never understood their desire to put so much pressure on a freshman who was very unlikely to win the NCAA's, but probably could have run better than she did. Never smart to crown an NCAA champion in mid-season. Hopefully Laura was ignoring this thread, but my guess is she was definitely aware of it.

We all know how incredible Shelia Reid is and her amazing collegiate title runs and yet she would have finished almost 150m behind the freshman. LAURA did her run from the gun and solo beating Betsy Saina who ran 31:15 track 10000m this year.
If the World Junior X Championships was held this week, Laura would defintely be my pick to place at the very worst top 5! Scary to think she hasn't peaked because she destroyed the best women in NCAA.

Nice effort on this one Vi-spam. You forgot that she is just an inexperienced freshman. Give her a couple years.
By the way, here is a towel, please wipe that drool off your face!
