Since the issue is so relevant, I'll add my two cents and say that I've never heard of this team.
I've never across the name either. Why does everyone expect a board full of adults to care about a group of teenage girls from some dinky New York town?

It's not a dinky team apparently, but I've never heard of the name either. Let's stick to relevant issues that people CARE about.
You think this is a board full of adults?
Still wondering... Does this great team we are all supposed to have heard of have a team website?
Seriously though, they are legit, both on the boys and girls side.

Not that I know of. Do most high school teams have websites?

I agree. I live on west coast and know who they are and knew exactly what was meant.
Only on LR can anonymous people disparage something of which they are ignorant and it be accepted (or even encouraged???).
Sad, Brojos. Sad.
I'll conform and say that I'm not familiar with FM, and I don't think anyone should either.
Let's remember, this is a HIGHSCHOOL thread on Let's Run. I find the FM reference totally appropriate. They are a legendary team and I live in Texas! (You college or pro folks should stay off the high school boards.) One would assume that those that view the high school forum are trying to educate themselves on what is happening in the running world that you are a part of. You really should know about FM. If not, read up! You just might learn something and will appreciate what they stand for and the level at which they compete.
I'm a 35 year old father of 5 living in Illinois and a hobby jogger, yet I knew what the OP meant in his title right away! Doesn't anyone pay attention to the Foot Locker or Nike national races? FM is everywhere.
But I will say, a better title would have been... "FM girls go down..."
Just sayin.

They are not visiting the High School boards. In fact, I think that most people are not even aware that there is a High School board. They are all viewing the Main Board, which pulls from everything.

Ummm, I don't know that the FM girls would appreciate that title, at all. Isn't that their business? LOL.
Yes. Portland Meadows racetrack. Anything else you need to know? The OP wrote:

NXN is raced on a track?
Looks like their boys team didn’t make states this year
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
