Wet More,
Right,.... they were all above average but no Footlocker all stars. When are all the blue chip recruits gonna get a clue and start going to this powerful program???? We lose most of our in state blue chip recruits year after year and have lower ranked recruits who end up killing these blue chippers. Maybe we don't want and do better without you blue chippers.
Our #1 guy Joe Bosshard who is a cross country and track all american, had a serious injury ( cartilage tear in his hip socket) and has only been running a couple of months or so. He may try and compete at the end of the season. Although he has the ability to be our #1 guy my guess is he will be doing good just to take one of the top 5 spots which would still make this already excellent team even better.
Also missing is high school national track champion Ammar Moussa who is in his 2nd year now.He was our 5th guy last year on a team who finished 3rd at ncaa's. He should be right behind our current #1 guy ....Jake Hursz. Ammar sat out last indoor and outdoor track seasons with i believe tendonitis related problems. He has had plenty of recovery time and raced at the Rocky Mountain shoot out 2 weeks ago and did very poorly. Im wondering if he has suffered new injuries or if the tendonitis is chronic.
One guy you should seriously watch for though is our current #7 guy ...Conner Winter,...maybe not so much in cross country but more so in track ,,,,he was a multiple state high track champion with as little as 40 miles per week and still hit a 4:10 mile. He then dropped down to a a 1500m equivalent of a 4 minute flat mile his freshman year in college. He has the physical talent to go well below 4 minute mile
Its just amazing that 2 of our top guys aren't even in the mix right now and yet we can win a major meet hands down. Scary!!!!
