I think this debate is a bit confusing because it is unclear if the basis is predicated on beauty of the school buildings or the surrounding environment or both? For instance, I currently attend a Harvard graduate school and have found that although the buildings themselves are lovely and historic, the surrounding jam-packed streets, poor weather, and never-ending construction have led me to conclude that Clemson University (where I attended undergraduate) is the more beautiful of the two. Even though some of Tiger Town's buildings are quite dated (not in a good way), the sprawling nature of the campus, the greenery, the view of Lake Hartwell and Death Valley stadium from my old dorm, and the epic sunsets mean that, as a whole, Clemson is "more beautiful" than Harvard.
