Pace starting to pick up - 15 and change through 5k. Ritz and Hartmann (pacing) off back now with a several Japanese runners.

Ritz through 10k in 30:08

New drinking game: take a shot every time they mention Khalid Khannouchi.
4:50-51 last mile. Ritz in 2nd pack with Hartmann 70m back.
The first 8 miles were into a slight headwind, they are now running with that wind.
Greg Meyer complaining that Ritz too cautious, should be in front pack to test self.

It's 42 degree with 6mph winds according to Weather.com
Maybe could be 5 degrees warmer but that is not too cold for superfast times.
