Don't believe everything you read.
The womens race was at 9:30 Temperature 60° dewpoint 54° perfect.
The mens race was at noon. Temp 74° DP 57°
The men's race was affected by the Sun's altitude, which makes the "road temperature" more than the recorded (in the shade) temperature. humidity was not a factor at all.
