Kenyans will always be under microscope because you Americans and Germans can't believe that what we do is possible. Ask any mzungu who has actually lived and worked with us and you will find out that 99% of us are honest.

Oviously there will be one or two who are cheaters. we are only human and some of us are desperate and have access to steroids from your western managers but generalizing like that is very unfair. How would you like it if people around the world said that all Americans are racist rednecks? Unfair. Isn't it?
There is a reason why its called a sterotype....yes, we are ALL racist against one another. We just aren't ALL rednecks though. America, this country is full of haters. We need to learn how to all get along, which will of course never happen. Anyways, the Kenyans are fast and the best runners in the world simply because there are so many of them trying to be "good runners." Tradition and pride exist in Kenya based on distance running. Here in America, kids are concerned with ball sports and getting "big." Opposite of distance running, which is viewed as some what boring, dumb, and slightly gay among our youth. Its kind of sad really, but oh well such as life. Congrats to Kenyans for developing such a system. Its great entertainment to watch their progress. Next the need to work on finding that sub 2 hour marathoner.

LOL, I know... but you can't say that! The emperor of political-correctness DOES have clothes I tell you! Must have clothes!, and we are all the SAME except for skin color!!! Now say it with me, "bell-curves are fevered ramblings of insane scientists, evolution made all organisms EXACTLY the same, just different colors... and therefore I shop at the United Colors of Bennetton, in politics we trust amen forever" LOL.

Listen, there are stereotypes, there are ignorant people who hate, yes. But come on -- if you look at the objective evidence and see something confirmed scientifically then it is not "racism" or stereotypes. I think "racism" is a hate wod itself -- we use it like one! Lets get rid of ALL hate and stereotypes and just speak together as human beings sharing a short life on a fragile world who all want to have a future.
YOGA is Kenyan slang for "You got EPO?"
They are a different species, harder to detect EPO.

no. the problem with the genetics argument is that there is no evidence for it.

LOL. People love saying that, but it cannot possibly be right -- unless you think science is bunk, and evolution wrong. Not that there are teams of publicly-funded scientists all searching for this or anything... (politics -- just ask Bruce Lahn @ University of Chicago, for example--dropped his whole research program because people started calling him "racist", and he is Chinese!) but pretty much all the evidence is on the genetics side on this one. Remember -- we are trying to explain why there is a preponderance of talent so localized -- not that people can improve or simply improve their times from training. You have to control for all that. There is a skew in the statistics to say the least. That is due to genetics. They HAVE actualy tested it -- all the best runners come from a handful of small areas, and are closely related. Also, as a general statement, they have identified genetics as the #1 factor in running ability by far in general. Same thing with IQ and any other ability -- they have been identifying genes which contribute to high IQ, and there are many of them.
It is kind of like physics and Europeans that way, if they had a theoretical physics "marathon" so to speak, the Europeans would win -- and with a much greater statistically-significant margin if history is any indication.

Rupp isn't more talented than the Kenyans. He dopes. And so he can run with them. They probably dope, too. Anybody who disputes it is just lying to themselves.
If they dope also, wouldn't Rupp then be as talented as they are?
they have NOT found a genetic link.
They may have found a link between individuals in the same group but that does not necessarily mean that the link is a genetic one.

Have you seen Rupp dope? Do you have any legit proof? I didn't think so. Rupp may not train harder, but he trains SMARTER

How do you know Rupp trains smarter? If anything, he might train dumber. How long did it take him to break 26 and 13? How long does it take Kenyans to do it?
If there was legit proof, he wouldn't be legally competing today, would he? There's no legit proof Lance ever doped, but after long enough it finally came spilling out. You think AS can't cover something like that up? It's not difficult at all for a corporation like Nike to provide Rupp and Alberto with the resources they need to get away with it. I don't respect him any less, let me make that clear. I'm a huge fan of Rupp, and he truly deserved that silver medal. BUT, he dopes. You just don't consistently perform that well, improve that much, and hang with the best in the world if you aren't. Farah Dopes, Rudisha dopes, it's NECESSARY. These guys aren't to blame at all, but it's true.

Flexibility --> Strength --> Speed
Stretching makes you slower. There are no proven benefits from stretching muscles.
What we are looking for is an increase in range of motion, NOT increase in flexibility. You get range of motion by doing dynamic drills and weight lifting through a full range.
This is BS, this yoga session does nothing. They all go to the weight room to get their ROM

"Link" to from what to what?
That African superiority in running is the result of genetic factors can be inferred. It's not necessary to discover the exact genes responsible.
The Olympics was ONE race. Where does Rupp stand on the all-time lists? Is he even in the top 50? If not, how could you point to him as proof that Africans don't still dominate?

I believe rupp is in the top 20 (at least 25) in the 10k

Rupp is number 16 all time in the 10k. Farah is 15.
