I always love the little guy.
Oregon is proving that Martin Smith was right - in the year 2012 it's impossible to win all 3 seasons on the men's side.

Yeah I hope Portland dominates Oregon and BYU
Its about more than xc.
Portland is over-ranked. Oregon is under-ranked. Neither are a top 5 team....
After Wisco/Pre Nats we should see the true rankings.
My perdition: Portland #18 Oregon #9

Based on your inability to spell and complete a sentence, I'm guessing your prediction will be totally wrong as well. Portland will be in the top 5 and Oregon will not be in the top 20 at the end of the year.
When Dunbar was at Portland he didn't make NCAA's. Last year at Oregon he made the olympic trials 5k. If you want to run professional, it is irrelevant how good your team is/was.
It is too bad for Portland though. With Dunbar having left and Osoro being a complete pos...they would have been a threat this year to beat just about everyone.
Oregon will be lucky to be top 10. Portland will be better than them but they won't be top 5 unless Conner hands over the reigns.

Silly logic...Dunbar ran 13:42 off of limited training as a sophomore at UP, then ran 13:40 a year older at Oregon. How is this progress? Would have actually run a much better PR and qualified for trials at UP, given better race opportunities like Mt. SAC and both Stanford meets, instead of being stuck in Pepsi duel meets and Hayward fantasy land.
Yep, Oregon doesn't have any race opportunities. That is maybe the first time in history anyone has criticized the ducks for lack of "opportunities".
I always root for Portland, but I get why he transferred. I completely disagree with you on what he would have done at Portland. I don't think he would have gotten a second faster. How can you when you don't do anything specific at UP?
At Portland they would have continued to train him like a 10k runner like they do with the rest of the team. At Portland the whole damn year is treated like base phase.
Dunbar ran 13:36 last indoor season, then spent all spring sharpening which led to him placing far better at NCAA's and the Trials then he would have ever in a million years at Portland.
Just my opinion from someone who will always cheer for the Pilots over the Ducks.
Silly logic would be looking at straight times and not realizing that placing high at the US trials is a heck of a lot better than a season where you sat at home during NCAA's.
The three Lets Run posters who disguise themselves under a million different names and constantly bash Oregon are three high school/college wannabe runners who always wanted to run at Oregon but eventually discovered that there was absolutely no way it was gonna happen and now they hide behind their little computer screens and talk about how bad Oregon was, is and will be. Galen Rupp looks goofy and can't win when it counts, AJ is too cocky, Centro could never possibly run with the big dogs, Wheating is a one hit wonder in the 1500, Vin is a bad coach, Powell is a bad cpach, Hasay can;t win a Xc or outdoor title, Nike blows, Pre was overrated, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
This school's program is so bad it's the most talked about topic on this web-site.
Trevor Dunbar knows a million times more about what it takes to run at the highest levels than the 3 LetsRun Secret Oregon Wannabe's that use hundreds of different names making it appear that there may be many Oregon haters when in fact there are only 3.
Trevor knows a tad more than the 3 wannabe's that disguise their frustration that they never were even close to being talented enough to even be be a pony boy for Oregon's worst runner.
Trevor knows that no matter where Portland ranks in relation to Oregon at the end of the year that The University of Oregon was, is and always will be a far better choice when it comes to distance running.
OK now let's hear it from you 3 Oregon Wannabe's! Disguise yourselves under a different name each time you post. Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah
Wow dude...chill out
Yo dude....cheah....I'm chilll....Yo one o the 3 UO haters?
U mad, bro?
Winning all 3 seasons isn't impossible. Just needs the perfect balance and luck to be on your side.
Trevor... you need to shut up and just run.
If you've ever spoken to Trevor, you'd know he wouldn't post something like that. Maybe a teammate....But that wasn't Trevor. He has too much respect for his old coach and teammates at Portland to say what the poster said about Portland.

Martin Smith is irrelevant.
The only way a men's cross country team can be good year in and year out is to import athletes.
haha I love how serious people get on this site... I really hope that you lose sleep over this. You know some of us went to College and ran and knew that those 4 or 5 years was it. There wasn't going to be a big endorsment deal and London 2012 would be in our Living Room. Sounds like you are a massive U of O fan and might have a Nike Tatto somewhere on your body.
But in all seriousness you seem to know a lot about Oregon. When the Heck is AJ ever going to get a contract? I know he is cocky and according to Facebook photos he liked New Castle better than running through out college. But he is an okay runner, probably never make a USA team. But he should have a contract.
