As a now deleted thread pointed out, he’s also a prolific Strava poster, where he evangelizes and shares his thoughts on which sects of Christianity are false religions, how pride month will lead to the destruction of Earth by God, and how Halloween is for devil worshippers.
Pride does go before destruction, halloween is extremely dark/evil, and there are many cults/false religions. Nothing crazy there.
This is disingenuous at best and minimizing what he said. In the context he used it, he was saying God was going to destroy the Earth because of homosexuality.
He has ~130 kids on the roster. Statistically, he has 9-10 kids that will come out at some point. All of the stuff that he states about loving and accepting each kid isn’t real when he posts stuff like that. It’s hypocrisy and it’s hateful. They’ll remember that.
Also, if Jeff ever claims he’s not reading these boards or he knows nothing about these boards, he went and edited the post on July 2nd about Pride Month. Trying to cover his backside, and he is absolutely on these threads reading and commenting. But, like the good internet user that I am, I have screenshots.
Here’s another one- someone commented about him trying to take away from a fundraiser for a homeless shelter, and he replied with a bible quote about Jesus being the bread of life, and how he hoped that they would share that with the people at the shelter.
Why is he even coaching? Running seems like a waste of time when the kids should be studying scripture and preparing for The Rapture. I'm a bit shocked that such an uber-Xtian is feeding his own ego rather than ensuring that his athletes are taken up before the end times. If I knew that The Almighty was going to destroy Earth in the near future, I wouldn't be wasting time on Strava and getting kids ready to race at a major meet sponsored by a corporation that employs gay people and unbelievers.
It’s because it gives him a platform. He wants people to listen to him and what he perceives to be the truth of Jesus. He’s got a huge group of people that listen to him and never question his authority. It’s all ego, all the way from top to bottom.

2 things.
1. Strava isn't the place for politics. Regardless of whether you're in rural-ish Idaho or San Francisco, there will be people who disagree with you and it's incredibly stupid to post your beliefs there
2. I assume he's Mormon? So it's especially ironic to see him talk about cults
The last 6 or 7 posts on this thread have made me lose faith in humanity.
First someone talks about someone who isn't an NXN champ on a thread called "NXN champs, where are they now"
Then people start attacking his personal views which he is posting on his private social media, even to the point of indirectly calling for him to quit. Tactless on behalf of Jeff? Sure. But Strava is a place to journal your thoughts on your runs. If that's what he thinks about on his runs, it isn't any different from talking about how you are sad that you saw homeless people while you were running.
Then a user posts incorrect information saying that he's reading the boards and editing his posts, only to immediately realize that they were wrong about this.
And finally we turn to people assuming his religion, who apparently know the man and his team better than anyone who goes to Rocky, and thus should be able to dictate exactly how he runs the team and more importantly what he says and what he believes.

Is Jeff relevant to this thread? No. Are his posts relevant to running and the community? Yes.
Rocky Mountain runners have posted incessantly on this board. They are a well-known team. People have commented that the coaches do as well, which is them creating their own celebrity. When you make yourself known, people pay attention to what you say and do. Rocky Mountain is a large team. The coach posts things publicly that could impact the health of that team. He is using his platform to say things that are hateful in nature, and kids can’t realistically challenge that.
The user that posted incorrect information at least came back and corrected it. That’s far better than leaving it out there, which would have been easy enough to do.
