Do all elite NCAA xc teams have early morning practices?

I enjoyed how my "elite for DII" team did morning runs. Basically they were up to yourself to get in, at whatever time you woke up. If someone didn't have class until 10am, why would they have to get up at 6:30 to run, why not wait until 8? You get the same benefits from the run either way.

Are people really this stupid? The elite are the best within whatever particular group you are talking about. This thread is specifically about elite NCAA teams; in other words, the best NCAA teams. How is this hard?

Unless that's how much time you need to get in the run, shower, eat, and make it to class then there is no reason to have to be up that early.

If you watch any of the videos of the Elite runners (guys that don't work a job, their jog IS running) they aren't up at the @ss crack of dawn for their morning run.

There's always been what Ive called "a running monk" attitude by some runners. The idea that a runners life must be hard in order to reap the rewards. That's not true. Making life hard for the sake of it makes no sense. If you train smart, and put in the work there is no need for a hair-shirt and self-flagellation.

FSU and OSU are colleges. Elites are post-college.

Our highschool team does 20-30 minute morning runs/tertiary runs every day, then practices at 220 pm. I thought that was typical through college.
