Interesting to read all of this. As a Brit I was not so informed of her apart from the LJ a few years ago.
I ran I to her in London maybe 2hours after the relay final. She was not actually staying in the Okympic Village but a small hotel about 400m away. Quite bizarre.
She was in a bar (run down sh*t hole I must add) just outside the aolympic Park with her coach.
What's even more interesting to me is she wouldn't get massage or treatment from the team US physio. I was with a Dr working at th games and met him in this bar after that evening session for a beer. He had gotten there earlier and in his official Dr uniform Maddison and coach/husband (we never asked) approached him for some help with massage etc.
To us it was a super strange situation but then again those 2 weeks where pretty crazy.
Reading these posts now is super interesting..

In response to this whole drug accusation issue with Tianna. I often forget the shear ignorance that exists on letsrun and this accusation follows the path of that ignorance. If the couple of you alleging this understood the raw ability of this athlete I wouldn't be writing this. First Jeter was nowhere near the same athlete as a junior that Tianna was. As I mentioned in another post we tested her in 2003 in flying 30 and she achieved an electronic 3.06. her standing long jump waS OVER 3.0m. Now if you new a thing about testing speed and then about speed itself you would understand this number and its implications. Her innate undertrained speed/power potential was arguably one of the best we ever tested at the junior camp in Chula Vista. Her training with Caryl came at a time when Caryl was just beginning to figure out max velocity mechanics with Tony Wells and how to apply them. Tianna never was taught them so she had an immediate flaw in her technical model. Then on to Bobby where she trained very hard for the time there and it gave her an incredible base of training, but not necessarily the right training to optimize her ability. When she got to Rana she was raw still and technically not very good. The rest of the clean story is obvious. Clean up technique, reteach acceleration, increase speed and power, and refine max velocity mechanics. Her flying 30 test predicted within .02-to .03 her 100m results - so none of this is a surprise. So her changes are not at all questionable. They are the result of the genetically gifted athlete meeting a very technically gifted coach. The chance collision occurred for her and the results flowed. No drugs are needed when that chance collision occurs.

Unless the circumstances are completely outrageous, I can't imagine many jurors being too sympathetic to parents that sue their own kid. I feel sorry for Madison for having what appears to be horrible parents. (I say that knowing nothing of the actual situation). -
No, the progression does not show a clean athlete. We can expect someone involved in the sport to spew bs, but that's all it is, in my opinion. The chance collision of which you speak was almost certainly her body with PEDs. Unfortunately, what we now know with micro-dosing is that t&f athletes can and do routinely use PEDs, and only the stupid or unlucky get caught.
As for the lawsuit, her parents have a good chance of winning, IF the evidence supports a factual determination that no abuse occurred. If she can prove it occurred, then the parents just made the dumbest decision in their lives, as something that was merely alleged will be considered proven in a court of law. But, if she can't prove it, her parents will rightfully be entitled to a boatload of money. That's the way the civil justice system works. -

No, the daughter has to prove the abuse occurred. She made the claim and she needs to prove she is right. -
Jeez...it was over almost three years ago:

You guys are knuckleheads. -
This is weird because I was just thinking about an article I read about Tianna several years ago.
Unless I am confusing Tianna with someone else, according to a news article her family used to forego Christmas gifts and travel as a family to a location where they had never been each December. I remember thinking that they must be a close family that had important things figured out. Over the holidays I thought about her family tradition. Apparently my thoughts were way off.
