American record here we go!!!
My boy Makhloufi gonna win by a landslide. Centro I predict around 3:35-3:36, he's on the tail end of his season, but will be back next year under 3:30. Leo could run anywhere from 3:36 to 3:41 and i'm leaning toward 3:39. he's like a vampire, silver makes him weaker.

Anyone know what the projected pacing times are? Which runners are pacing?
Will we see any sub-3:30s?
According to Alberto Stretti, "Ismail Kombich in 1'51 at 800 and Benson Seurei in 2'48 at 1200 for a projected final at 3'30."
LET'S GET ROLLIN
55.75 400
152.25
250.29
Kiplagat wins
Gebr gave it all he had.
Centrowitz fourth. Anyone know the time?
Way off on my predictions. Shoulda gone with my gut and pi led Kiplagat. Thought he was burnt out
Centro ran well. A subtle improvement in tactics and he'll be a force.
The last 300 was kind of lackluster. With them being 2:50 with 300 to go, I totally expected 3:29 high, but I guess they're physically / mentally exhausted from getting after it so much this year. How long ago was that that Kiprop ran his world lead? Can't run at that level for 6 months straight I suppose.
332.xx for centro
3:32.47 for Centro
Aries WR
3:34.85 for Manzano
Two races in a row with Centro beating Manzano by two seconds +.
Changing of the guard.
But Leo may still get ranked above Centro for the year with the Trials race and the Olympics weighing heavy.
What guard did Manzano have? This year was his first US Championship win and he was never even arguably the best American.
Centro is a better runner without a doubt. Manzano capitalized on his Centro's injury. Sans injury, Centro goes US, silver, and 3:31.
But oh well, there's next year.
Well, this is the first year that Centro ran faster than Manzano.
Centro only beat Manzano in the two Championship races last year.
Manzano ran faster in the circuit races.
This year they flipped that script.
I think Manzano milked everything from his little body that he could over the years.
Amzazing that he ran 3:32 low.
Amazing that he got an Olympic medal.
Now Centro seems to have the tools to do better and he is on his way.

There are few runners ever who could go through in 2:50 and then run a 39 mid fort a 3:29 High. Certainly the only 2 running at the moment based on what they have actually done in the past are Kiprop & Kiplagat. Certainly none of the rest are capable of 3:29 high off that pace.
Strange how the two Kenyans were able to run sub 40 last 300's in their sub 3:30 races, then run dire at the Olympics, then come back late season to run more respectably. Though only 42 off a 2:50 first 1200m.
