5.13 is pretty stout. I wonder if any other letsrunners climb that hard?

5.12 was the hardest I ever climbed.
minor league ball
Raced pro and went top 10 in a couple of Ironman Tris. Retired before I became some sad old dude in lycra. Now don't swim or ride at all.
Sometimes hit 200k plus run weeks now, but it feels like nothing when you consider I was regularly riding upwards of 20 hours a week just by itself before.
I was Johto league champion.
I'm considering jumping into the National Putt-Putt Championships two weekends from now. That will be the highest level.

So who has me beat? I played in a D1 title game in '06.
Lacrosse players are a dime a dozen. Playing for UMass doesn't make you elite. Bragging about playing for UMass makes you a tool.

I think I have you beat. I played soccer at Virginia '93-'96. Won two titles.
What position?
That was a dynasty in those years.
The Ravens carried a kick off specialist many years when Stover was there.

On the ride home I cried more than I ever cried before. Haven't kicked since. This was over 17 years ago now.
They aren't 17 years old and teams only carry 1 kicker.
Lacrosse is a niche sport. Playing D1 lacrosse is like playing D3 football.
Ever hear of Major Indoor Lacrosse? Lol...D1 highest level.

I was raised by hippies and was only ever pushed to participate in athletics/sports. Trying to humiliate others by dominating them in a public display of physical force is anathema to who I was programmed to be. Due to that, I never did athletics/sports competitively nor did I see a point to being better than anyone other than myself. (Always a steep challenge because I didn't want to humiliate myself.)
All that being said, I'm on a path to Masters dominance in the middle distances. I think I only have to knock 30 seconds off my 800m time to be the last guy on the list. I dropped 38 seconds off it a couple months ago off of 3 months training. And I'm faster now after just doing some base and doubling my miles. If I ever run a lot of miles I'll be a grey-haired force with which to recon.
So, to answer the OP's question. I have never competed on any level worth mentioning. But that didn't stop me, did it?
I skied down from the cable car terminal on the Kleine Matterhorn in Zermatt.
The terminal is at 12,533 ft, which is about the highest level you can partake in any sport.
In the distance I could see Paul Ryan climbing the north Face of the Matterhorn.
i competed at the world mountain running champs on sunday- neither track or xc!
How did you find time to write this? Shouldn't you be booing God at the DNC right now?
Fail. D1 Lacrosse is not a real sport.

I have stood alone on the peak of Mt Whitney. Unless somebody was simultaneously at a higher elevation in Alaska, I have been at the highest level of anyone in the United States. Without question I've been at the highest level of anyone in the lower 49. Depressing to think that's the best I have to offer.

Definitely not as impressive as the 50+ guy, but 5.13b, V10 (roughly 5.13c/d equivalent), qualified and competed at national level indoors for bouldering (directly against professionals/national champs). Pretty sure high wire could take me in ropes though...probably running too; only sub 18 5k for climbing conditioning.
