I'll start--D1 lacrosse at UMass. Played all 4 years and picked up running distance seriously post-grad. Western Mass is a great place for distance running, obviously.
So who has me beat? I played in a D1 title game in '06.

I think I have you beat. I played soccer at Virginia '93-'96. Won two titles.
hi, my name is Jake Locker. bone yourself
NCAA D1 is not "the highest level."
Attended an NBA rookie camp.
I was a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys.
I competed in the National snow shoe championships about 5 years ago, when they were held in Northern Vermont. I have also competed in the World Amateur Handicap Golf Championships, held annually in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In each competition, I was nearer the back of the pack, but yor questionwas who whas "competed" at the highest level -- a national and world championship should count for something. In running, I've also competed in the national club championships, and in college I competed in the Division 3 New Englands. (I know some poster is going to rag on Division 3 New England sports, but I doubt they could take a game from me in tennis!)
AA in Swimming. Two National teams post-college.
Not me but my brother played on the US national team for u-14s and played against AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Lazio's youth teams and beat all of them, winning a large European youth tournament, and traveled to South America to play. He hit puberty late so they cut him when he was still 5'1 at 15.
He filled out later and set a state record for single game assists (6) and career assists and was on a runner up state team sophomore year, winning team junior, and 3rd place team senior.
pro jacks sucka
Was 1 kick away from being the Baltimore Ravens back-up kicker. Hit the right post. Next guy knocked it right down the middle.
On the ride home I cried more than I ever cried before. Haven't kicked since. This was over 17 years ago now.
Not exactly what the OP was looking for but I am the first man over 50 to both run 2:11 for 800 AND climb 5.13+ (French 7b first ascent, hardest U.S. 50+ that year, maybe in the world?), so world class age group in two unrelated disciplines.
I'm not 100% sure what that climbing thing is, but I'm not all that impressed with the 2:11.
I once podiumed in the nat'l summer biathlon champs
0/10
No such thing and I doubt the Ravens are 17 yo.
You don't need to be, if you run faster and are over 50.

my bad dude. Just trying to imply that the climbing thing sounds far superior to a 211.
Although, most middle aged dudes I know are afraid of even trying to run fast, so you get major props for even running two laps all-out. If not, they are probably afraid of heights. dude, if you have a good stomach too, you should totally go on masters fear factor!
okay...kidding about that last part
I actually hope to still be posting on LRC at 50. Doubt I'll be in 2:11 shape by then.
You are pretty much right, I am much better as a climber. Nonetheless, since my HS/college best for 800 was only 2:08, I think that I am almost prouder of my 800, since it is definitely world class for the AG. Hoping to get back on the track for 2013 after a long-term injury, feeling excellent now at 55 (40 years of competing, 37 at climbing) Injury humbles you but keeps you hungry too!

They aren't 17 years old and teams only carry 1 kicker.
as QB i both ran and threw for touchdowns in our homecoming FB game against our big rival, then got busy with my cheerleader gf afterwards.
things went downhill from there as I started running seriously in college, lost 30+lbs, and turned into a skinny running nerd who surfs LRC message boards every night and can't get laid cuz work and run too much. FML
