Here's the number he's going after: 3:27.37. Until he gets that, he's chickenshit.

I think Makloufi could be clean.
2'48 is a joke split
that's just because they can't get any pacer to go the required 2'47 or even 2'46
they can't even get a pacer to get to the bell in 2'34 ( = 2'48 )
the recent 800 showed how much speed ability he has
ran a wild 1'43.7, starting last, charging towards the lead at the bell & exertion just caught up with him when pipped by aman, who ran more sensibly
aman showed his likely "true" late-season ability in zurich with a 1'42.5 in poor conditions
that indicates maloofi is in mid/high-1'42 shape in an ideal run 800 in good conditions
1500 is his main event
if you bring mid/high-1'42 to your main event, you are going to blow apart 3'30
as someone said, morceli's 3'27.3 has to be 1st target
Makhloufi could do it today, or not. Asbel ran pretty fast this year!
The Oly champ is a great new star, and has a lot of personality. Can't shake the feeling that his Olympic move and victory looked a lot like Ramzi's... actually a stronger move, but a slower race.
any one knows if this meeting on tv or online in any website???
"And what does association with that scumbag Jama Aden have to do with anything? You guys are farking hilarious. As for "not shying from the circuit" - are you kidding me? There was an 800 in Zurich he could have run, a 1500 in Berlin he could have run and a 1500 in Brussels he could have run - nooooo let's do that mighty meeeting in Zagreb instead."
-very well stated. I agree 100%. Dirty group.

Here we go....
I say Makh-daddy takes it in a fast one 3:31.25
yukking it up on the line...
1200 about 250.0
Of course, it'll all depend on the pacemaking, and wether or not he follows them. I'd say splits of 54.5, 1:51.0, 2:47.5 would set him up perfectly. But we'll just have to wait and see.
Makh-daddy runs away 332.57
332
3:32.57 winning time
2:50.03 through 1200...
makhloufi looks like a ninja turtle
54/1:50/2:50
Anyone catch the 800 split in Makhloufi's race?
400 was 54.01.
800??
1200 was 2:50.03
Winning time - 3:32.57.
My computer crashed at 800.
makhloufatello
Ngetich looks like he is 12. No one can tell me that guy is bs-ing his age.
3'32
nice pace to 800 ( 1'50+ )
he wasn't out of breathe
only 2'37/2'38 at bell which screwed it
( the dope hasn't given him the confidence to go from 500 - 600 out like moeceli in his 3'27wr, which really is a ridiculous self-constraint considering how he ran in london - remember 3'32 rubbish)
running in home straight, i've never seen anyone so unexhausted...
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
