His track $$ was probably salary-like for the most part, while the roads are per race. He'd have to *win* probably 1 road race per month to approach his annual track dollars he has made.

I apologize if what I say is stupid, but if he were to switch to the roads, he'd still be a Nike athlete, so wouldn't it just be salary+prize money?

Anyone know where Trafeh is now? Seems odd that he wouldn't be out road whoring this summer....

Great run by Sean Quigley. I know he won this race a few years ago.. 09? I haven't seen his name in results for a while. Good to see him back in form.

Luke has a great future ahead of him. I would not be surprised to see the kid run a 2:06 eventually.

Good run from Pukesdra...he was ~23s behind Teg at the trials with his 27:56 in the 10k and only 18s behind him here.

There is a 5k that starts at the same time as the 20k. Same finish line.

Didn't Smyth and Puskedra run for the same high school?

In the write up it says that Puskedra hasn't finalized a shoe contract yet. Something tells me that after today's performance, it won't be much longer.

I'd like to see more guys choose the roads. When road racing became popular during the early boom years most of our runners raced frequently on the roads.

I am interested to see what Puskedra can run for his 2nd attempt at the half-marathon or the full. We will see more of these young runners jumping into the longer races because the US has become so competitive at the shorter distances and they are following the $$$.

Yes, They both ran for Judge Memorial High School and I am pretty sure that they won a state championship together.

Exactly , He made little or no money on the track , all of his income has been salary and bonus for times , making teams etc.

He will make the same salary , additional road bonus schedule , prize money and gain value as the exposure is far greater on the roads reaching a much bigger audience .
