So, I used to be an ok runner. Like OK in a crappy state, in high school. I started reading Letsrun.com and love it, stories, commentary, message boards, etc.
I'd like to support the site by getting the shirts but I'm like a 24 minute 5K guy now and think that I might be silly wearing it.
What do you think?
I'm a 22 minute 5k now, same story as you. I would love to support LetsRun, but would never wear these shirts.
I'm in high school so I'm planning to wear these shirts everyday.

So they don't ask for your race PR's when you order these shirts? This would be something of a relief, but unfortunately, I've been, of late, putting bundles of t-shirts past into the used clothes boxes and Salvation Army. I'd hate to eventually see these distinguished shirts from LR suffer the same fate. Into whose hands could they fall, in such an instance?

When I bought my Tony Romo jersey on Amazon, they made me submit a video of me tossing the football. They wanted 5 spirals on routes of 15 yards or longer.
Thankfully, they said a big dropped snap or a big interception wasn't a big deal.
The neighbor's six year old son had a pick six of me but they still sent me the jersey.

Lets run is for everyone don't ever apologize for liking a sport. Do you think that fat ex football players who barely made varsity their senior year and still waddle out to the park and throw the foot ball around have a problem wearing an NFL jersey? Of course not. The whole point of LR is that everyone can be a competitor, student and fan of the sport. So if you want one buy one and wear it proudly.
The problem with the lets run shirts is they aren't funny. They are boring and if you don't know lets run they sound really gay. I don't think anyone wants to be caught dead wearing a shirt saying "where your dreams become reality". It sounds like and advertisement for Glee. The whole point to a shirt like that is the inside jokes that could be put on them that only LR fans know. Like "I'm faster on Letsrun" or "Um ever heard of (insert personalized name here)". Or anyone of a hundred other hilarious jokes that other LR fans would see on your shirt and laugh at as they ran down the trail. Come on Brojos lets get some funny shirt out there!

I think the designs are OK but I still wouldn't wear them. Street cred would be taking a major hit.
i know that the shirts are meant to reflect the low-budget, early internet adopter style of the site, but man, these are pretty bad.
the 4th one, with emulating handwritten isn't bad, but for $20, i'm on this board to say i'm not on board.
dig the site though and what it promotes/creates in general.

Dri-fit or something besides 100% cotton. Some of those vintage looking tees that feel very soft and look a bit faded would have given you even more of the old-school look and would have actually been worn. No one likes to rock itchy cotton Tee's anymore.
For how long i've been awaiting these t-shirts, this is a huge disappointment.
I have been mulling the idea of going to fit2run and having them sublimate the LRC logo weejo had on and adding my handle to the back like a sport jersey. Probably use the number 69.
