Here we go....
Here we go....
Rudisha needs to grow a big f*ck off beard.
If, IF Rudisha has any ability to up his maximum speed, I would LOVE to see him demolish MJ's 400m WR.
Presumably, though, there is a reason he runs the 800 rather than the 400. Too bad.
Aman.
That's what happens when you don't have a big f*ck off beard
Rudisha finally ran out of steam.
Down goes the King!
So, we all were pretty wrong I think...
And when you're buddies with Sammy Tangui.
Aman needs to get on his drugs a little earlier...
What happened?
Rudisha just cannot perform (to his best) in the wet/cold. It's happened time and time again.
I feel bad for the guy. Only the elements can stop his dominance.
Looked like Rudisha went through 400 in 50-flat ish (Tangui went out in 49.6 and Rudisha was a few meters back). He wasn't really able to separate himself from the pack very well and Aman caught him at 700. Aman was also the last guy to beat Rudisha (in similar rainy conditions). Maybe it's just something about Rudisha's mechanics that causes him to be less efficient on a wet track.
Also, major props to Aman for setting a NR (1:42.53) in such crummy weather. And for beating the GOAT 800 runner of course.
"Rudisha on the other hand has been and always will be a complete beast."
Much better.

Would it be wrong to assume that at his height he could afford to bulk up 5-10 lb and gain sprint speed?
Imagine if Rudisha, instead of switching to the 800, went to college in america to get the best 400 training available. Maybe he would be demolishing Johnson's record instead of Kipketer's.
