webb ran 1'43.8 off 3'46.9
hicham has run 3'26.0/3'43.1 & bernie 3'26.3
they were at worst 1'43 guys in their prime
question :
noah ran 2'11.9wr & had
1'44.49pb
he actually went 49.8 in his 1k which is suicidal
he had to hang onto some sort of 800 time knowing he had 200m more to go
he split
1'44.62
what are you offering for his 800 shape in rieti ???
For the record, Lagat and E'G's 800m PRs are actually only 1:46x; I gave them 1:45. At their peak, they could probably go sub-1:45, but I doubt 1:43x. There is almost no way these athletes would not have run a couple of 800s in their career if they thought they could be competitive as in a 1:43x 800. Keep in mind that durning most of Lagat and E'G's career, 1:43x made you the best in the world.
From a former athlete...please note that all athletes will run down in distance in any event they think they can be competitive at...that's just the nature of things. (Plain and simple, if Lagat and E'G where capable of running 1:43x, they would have run some 800s.) Lagat and E'G were projected to be distance runners, but they moved down in distance to the mile early in their pro career.
Btw, the insult was not necessary to get you point accross.
