I AM the true master of ceilings, I would bet anything on it. If Galen runs faster than 3:34, I will stop posting on this site forever.

Can you not see that the OP's third letter is M and not N? You are not a worthy pretender to the throne.

AAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!......you got me.
You're a f u c k i n g i d i o t Cliff Clavin! You need to choke on Rupp's d i c k already.

Galen Rupp's ceiling is 3:34 for 1500m. As I have stated before and NOT been proven incorrect, Galen's ceiling on the track is as follows: 1500m 3:34, 3000m 7:32, 5000m 12:55, 10,000m 26:48. Galen will NEVER run faster than the above times. Galen did manage to medal, and I asserted that he would not, but who can account for mediocre fields in the Olympics? My genius failed me, but when it comes to ceilings, I am not wrong. I am an expert on ceilings, and tomorrow's results will vindicate me once again.
3:34, 12:55, 26:48 ARE NOT CEILINGS! They are floors you idiot.
wait a few years and we will see if you are right which you probably won't be
Agreed. You are completely right
Rupp; yawn...zzzzzz
12-55 :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D Let's fu*king bet on 100$ , if ur not a pus*y!!!
ventolin thinks galen is in 7:25 shape
i say 7:23
Yeah, Galen Rupp will not run faster than 3:34. Unless he does.
Rupp 3:33.33

he shoud go 3'32 if he leaves it to last lap sprint ( as he will, as he probably hasn't the brains like most 5k guys running a 1500 )
if he pushes from 500 - 600 out, he can go 3'31
( same as komen couda probably gone low-3'28 in his 3'29.4 if he'd pushed from 500 - 600 out instead of leaving it to last 400 )
Rupp DNF
He did not run a 3:34!
He didnt even get a time!
The OP was right.
The courageous DNF Galen couldn't even be bothered to finish. He often has this trouble with non-championship meets that don't have Salazar on the infield calling out his splits - major criteria for Rupp-certification. Where did he bail?

He bailed somewhere around bent-double-coughing-up-a-lung-due-to-bronchitis meters into it.

Indeed, but of course for me this is as natural and inevitable as breathing. I take no pleasure in what happened with Galen in Lausanne, as Galen is not capable of running faster than his ceiling, but his ceiling would have permitted him to finish, at least under ordinary circumstances. Galen is not one who is averse to dropping out of races, and he may have had a very good reason for doing so, but any talk of the U.S. record for Galen at 5000m is palpably absurd. Galen is not a man who will run faster than 12:55 in his career, so the U.S. record remains out of reach. How the hell did this guy medal?
I started this thread just to mess with Galen's head. I owed him over crap he put in my Ipad earphones.
Everyone's ceiling is 3:19 for the 1500m ... Rupp included.
