Here you go:
http://nj.milesplit.com/articles/91010-ajee-wilson-to-defer-college-enrollmentShe is good, but not bypass college good. Stupid decision. Probably brought up by her club coach in hopes of working into the pro ranks. Another reason why club track sucks ass.

"Good, but not bypass college good"? You know you're talking about the World Junior champ, right?
Am I the only one who thinks she's making the right decision...I mean..isn't this her in high school?
the NCAA is overrated
why run a full cross country season when you're a middle distance runner
why go form high school coach to college coach to professional coach
she will be fine
Did anybody read the article? She's just putting college off for a year...it's not like she's going pro and skipping it all together.
Reading between the lines, if she goes to the World Championships and doesn't do well enough to sign a big pro contract, she will go to college to compete. She can go to college academically any time.
Is she as talented as Allyson Felix, Alan Webb, or Bianca Knight? She may be.
just needs to make sure her coaching is world-class.

Club track is usual in Europe, and a far better way than college if you want to make it as an athlete. College wears you out. So does HS actually, its not long term training. Its short term to get your schools points and trophees. If you want to be the best club track is far more likely to get you there.
Look at USA, so many talented runners and so few who make it. Its sad.
vs all those europeans winning medals at the Olympics, right?
Best of luck to her. Does anyone think that she'll make it to worlds? She'd be racing against Montano, Schmidt, Gall, Beckwith, and Vessey, all of whom have a lot more international race experience than she does. My inner pessimist says no, but I'm glad to see someone bucking the traditional college system and going for it.

Well if she lived in Europe that would be great, she doesn't. How is the NCAA program bad? Did you watch the Olympics? Look at the USA 800m group of Women, how many went through the NCAA system? All of them. The NCAA system is where they learn to race. It is where they learn to compete through rounds of a championship.
I can't think of a single USA mid-distance distance runner who has benefitted from skipping the NCAA system. The single biggest mistake Alan Webb ever made was skipping out of the NCAA stsytem.
Best of luck to her, but if she is not going pro and she is going the club system, how is that going to work?
winning a world jr.title in the middle distance is harder than the ncaa

It doesn't need to be a "big" pro contract, just equivalent value to a scholarship. Then she can continue with her favorite coach, earn her degree, and avoid getting treated like a points machine in the college system.
