Predictions for either 1500m or 5000m?
I could see him being pulled to a 3:32 in the 1500m. The 5000m might be a little trickier since pacing is almost always erratic in Diamond League 5000m's, but with good pacing I could see a sub 12:50 for him.
So he was saving himself for Zurich.

Had Rupp run the 1500 in London, we would have medaled.
Didn't Manzano? and Rupp in the 10,000? Based entirely on Rupp's current PR, I predict about 3:43 for the 1500.
I say 3:33 low, maybe 3:32 high depending on how fast it goes. If the fourth kilometer of the 5000 is honest then I'll bet we'll see a few more sub-12:50s like in Paris, and I'm sure Rupp will be among them.
I think that's about right, 3:33.5 and 12:46. Neither for the win.

Uh.....there were probably 6 to 10 guys in that final who could've broken 13 minutes. Your comments suggest that you simply don't understand championship racing.

People are under estimating Rupp's speed. This year he has closed in 52-53 semi-consistently. He also ran 3:34 IN MAY. I predict 3:32 low. If it's a strong pace early, and someone is willing to take the pace and go for it the last 2k, I can see Galen running 12:48. Yes he's American and no American has run close to that fast, but he's been running like an African. 8:09, 3:34, 26:48, 2nd at the Olympics, closing in 52-53, and training with the fastest man in the world are all things specific to Rupp that will allow him to run times as fast as these.
Unless he's fatigued from a long season, I'm projecting 3:33 and 12:48.

I'd like to see him go sub 3:30, but I doubt he'd do it this year. Maybe next year(s).
Rupp will never run sub 3:30. You need to be a 1500m specialist guy to do that. However, he has the ability to run low 3:32.
He could run sub 12:50 but he has peaked for the 10000 at the Olympics. In my mind it's very doubtful that we're seeing anything great from him in Zurich.
