I wonder with this Olympic cycle over how many athletes will be looking to join new groups? I can't imagine with such a poor band of athletes left(Uceny & Meb are the best of whats left by a long shot) that there will be much demand for mammoth

''Mammoth Track Club is the top ranked long distance running group in the USA'' according to their twitter.
There is a ranking list of long distance running groups?
Always a good sign with elite clubs start just making things up.
Terrence Mahon seems like a very nice guy, but I have always considered him one of the luckiest coaches ever as far as such great funding for limited suvccess internationally and all the great funding they receive from various shoe companies, new York road runners, and usatf training site nonsense.

She is joining Hansons.
Hey Amy,
Welcome to Michigan. I love this. First Neely Spence, Jake Riley, Colby Lowe and now AMY HASTINGS.
Post-Oly purges are normal. UCLA shifted staff. Stanford cleaned out Floreal, Dunn, and crew. Stanford back in the day cleaned out Gerard, Weir, Lannana, ... It's tough at the top. MTC had to do it to stay in business. L.A. based elite clubs are brutal as hell. They are short tempered and merciless.
These athletes left Mammoth. Mammoth did not ask these athletes to leave. Why do you think people like Bauhs and Smythe are still here? These decisions are made by the athletes. Look at the 9 athletes and tell me how many will be around in 2016. This group will lose its funding soon.
Seems like Salazars juice has got his British guinnea pig to peak at top place only time will tell, outdoing the other Dr's LOL, at least Mammoth is clean but lacks credibility for behavior so what do athletes choose risky business or risky methods?
Amy's move to Hansons is not a done deal. It's not a sure thing.
Everyone thought Des would go to Mammoth, but looking like maybe it will be the other way around...
I really thought it should be the other way around-- Desi leave the Hanson's to go train with Amy at Mammoth Lakes. For Desi to get to Deena's level she needs high altitude.
I think high altitude is overrated...

Realize MTC is part of the So Cal T&F community which just won 18 track and field medals in London. MTC won zero. MTC is in total upheaval. You can't fail and survive in L.A.
IRONY
Hansons have dismissed athletes in the past because of dating teammates and creating drama within the group.
Amy Hastings is leaving Mammoth for dating a teammate and creating drama within the group.
Now Hastings and Hansons are a good fit?
I think that I am missing something.

Runners MUCH faster than you disagree.

Sometimes when I feel discouraged or stupid I come to LR to read statements like this. Thank you pointless ranter for making me feel better.
Athletes are stupid. Why leave when you are improving? Aww did someone hurt your feelings? Hastings needs to grow up.

Geez Jon Gugala, you could have credited your source
Why not ask the people directly?
That would be journalism.
Mammoth was done when Hall left.
