Fort Mill SC boys will probably be up there. They won state with one senior only.
Western Albemarle got a good program and is keeping most of their guys.
They also had an 8th grader run a 17:14…
Actually Western Alb. Returns 3 of their top 4. They are losing everyone else from varsity but adding that new freshman will help. And I’m sure this program will obtain a number 5.
Western a. Also has an incoming junior who ran a 10:20. So he should close the gap. 2 more returning sub-5 guys will be good 6th and 7th runners.
It would be great to see that SC school somehow sneak in to NXN because no SC team has ever made it to nationals.
Not that they’ll get back to NXN but Loudoun Valley boys will be up there as well. They are returning:
9:21
9:42
9:55
4:20
4:40
Maybe they will become a transfer hub again and find a really good #5 :D
Loudoun Valley girls return:
4:58
5:13
5:18
5:28
5:33
And IMG academy girls team will be either really good or really bad.
Hagerty FL has a solid 1,2,3.
Seymour - 4:11 / 8:59
Pantojas - 4:16 / 16:34
Leon - 15:54 / 9:25
Their 4/5 won’t be too bad.
Scanlon - 4:37
Wetzl - 4:41

Appreciate being a part of the conversation, but we have a lot of work to do to truly be in the mix.

Funny how this post is from 2012 but this will still be true this year and even next year too.
If Bolles makes NXN don’t be surprised. They were very deep last year and will be this year. They made NXN in 2017 and 2018.
This team will probably have 5 seniors in their top 7. Just like in 2018.
They won 2A last year and return 4 guys from that squad, and also a 9:33 and a 4:25 guy who weren’t on varsity last year.
And a 2 more sub-16:50 incoming juniors.
And 2 incoming sophs who ran a 10:12 and 10:16.
Bolles has so much depth that this year’s and last year’s JV would destroy their 2017 and 2018 JV teams
Another interesting thing is that the 4:24 and 9:33 guys that weren’t on varsity in CC last year qualified for state in track.
They will surely fill in for those Class of 2022 guys that graduated
Furman. They deserve to finally win something

If Lex and Leo go there to join Nick Goldstein, Furman could be something really special

I feel like they will be competing for an NXN spot for many years to come. They got 2 incoming 8th graders who went under 5 minutes in the 1600, and 2 more that almost did
Watch out for Wando from SC. Everyone is sleeping on them. They went 1-2 in the 3200 at the state meet and both of those guys are back.
They return 9:03, 9:24, a 9:51 transfer from NJ, a 10:05/4:36, and a 10:16/4:35.
