Yesterday at the New Jersey high school meet of champs at Holmdel, the Stanford-bound twins Katy and Amanda Trotter intentionally tied for the win at 18:43, winning by 40+ seconds. Since no ties are allowed, the officials gave the win to Katy but then she let Amanda pass her in the chute because Katy won the Group 4 meet last week and "wanted Amanda to win something too." The officials did not see it, and nobody lodged a protest so the result will stand (incorrectly) as Amanda's win but hey what can you do... I thought it was pretty unusual, I hope they will actually fight each other to the finish at Footlocker!
Bullshit. If she wanted to let her sister win a race why not let her pull away out on the course and at least think she earned it. I suppose someone has to be declared a winner and it doesn't really matter because they both agreed not to compete with each other.
Ah, who cares about that meet anyway. They just run it to stay sharp for Footlocker where I'm sure they'll be going all out.
Man I used to hate that gay photo of Shorter and Bachelor (I think that's who it was) holding hands and tying each other at the Trials.
Shorter and Kenny Moore.
