Watching the video, it was pretty poor tactics by Leer. He ran most of the race at the back of the pack, but moved up well on the third lap. On the last lap, he was right next to Torrence at one point, and Torrence went right to the front, but Leer decided to wait and on the last straightaway he was stuck behind a wall of people five across. IMO, he was very lucky that an opening appeared on the inside. Torrence ran a smarter race, IMO, but Leer got kind of lucky.

was bolas supposed to be the rabbit? he looked like he was trying to cut towards the infield and hopped/got shoved off the track

I would have liked to have seen Robbie Andrews in this race. Pace wasn't as too hot from the beginning, and I think he could have probably won the race.

Agree, except for the part about Torrence running smarter. Never, ever let a runner pass you on the inside. Torrence should've been tighter on Gregorson or stuffed Leer into him. Would've gotten him the W.

Andrews raced the 1500 in Monaco. I don't know if he finished, but he was WAY behind the pack by about 800 meters in. It looked like he wasn't ready to race at that level. This race probably would have been a better choice.
