I'd say they have about an 8 in 1 chance of beating the U.S.

I don't think Merrit is going to be available. Cramps? at Monaco, looked iffy anyway as Borlee was getting after it. US should win but will be closer than most here think.
Jamaica has almost not chance of beating the U.S. in 4x4, the fact that 2 of their guys are aren't 100% healthy mneans that I don't see them medaling. I would put them hehind Belguim, UK and the Bahamas. Russia and the DR might beat Jamaica as well.
Not a chance. The U.S. contingent has already said they are prepared to smash the WR to win. Don't think Jamaica is capable of that.
Anything can happen, USA can drop the baton. I know this is the 4x100 but I always enjoy watching this.

Ooops... here is the link
I'm sensing a collaboration of people here anonymously predicting slow times just to troll. 3:55 LOL.
I kept reading the first page and I was getting really concerned because still nobody was saying anything, and I thought, there's no way these people legitimately think the 4x400 team is running 3:55, I must be missing something. This must be a joke.
The WR for 4 x 400 metres relay is 2:54:29. We should be talking under 3 minutes. Therefore 2:55:8 will be very fast and more realistic with each runner doing a 44 minutes split.

44 minute split huh?
More Jamaican IP's.
Wow you guys must be rocket scientists, someone email the thread to some slow 400 jamaican guys?
You better find the juice the 100 guys are on if you want to have a chance.
LaShawn Merritt will close out the action for the US even if Jamaica has a lead. No one has the EXTENZion that he has over the final meters. In fact, he may not even have to extend himself.
Mark Block FTW
As I've already said before, not a f*cking chance.
The US has college teams that could take silver in the final. It's not even close. As far as I can tell, the only times we didn't win the 4x4 are:
1. the year we got DQed (2000)
2. the year we boycotted (1980)
3. the year our top 2 guys in the world got kicked out for a black power protest and another guy got injured so we had to scratch (1972)
4. the one time GB upset us way back in the day
I think the Bahamas could be a threat, but I think South Africa or Great Britain are the biggest threats, considering South Africa got second at Daegu last year and Great Britain was a close second indoors this year at Istanbul.
Great Britan and Roger Black will BE SUPREME
My question is, will Kenya make the final so we can see Rudisha run a 400 split?
Yes, we will lose and here's why:
(1) They are going to let our 400 hurdlers run it and they are not as fast as they used to be
(2) Merritt may not be 100%, he pulled out of Monaco
(3) Bolt will run it
Add all those things up and we are very vulnerable. I mean, look at how close it was in Daegu last year, our only saving grace was Merritt and again, he may not be 100% this year.
The dynasty ends in London.
